Finally stacking a few wins but nothing close to matching the level of comp we have played.
0-3 at Tenn
0-3 vs UGA
1-2 at Ole Miss
0-3 vs Vandy
3-0 vs Mizzou (who is 0-18)
2-0 at Clanga
That's good for 6-11 with one left tomorrow. They finish vs Ark, @ SC, at tu, and vs Bama. They have 13 games to find 7 wins.

Auburn has come back to Earth
now 9-9 in the league
only 1 game better than the Ags in the standings
That's only a 1 spot increase and it's due to us knocking Arkansas from #1 to #5 and UT falling from 4 to 7 after yesterday's lost to Kain'tuck. Florida State has jumped 5 spots after their series this weekend was postponed due to the campus shooting.Faustus said:W said:

Getting swept by Texas bumped Auburn to No. 4 in RPI which is a little funny.
Yeah they are a strange team and resume right now. Currently sitting at #2 in non-conf RPI, compared to ~100 for us. They got a ~13 spot bump this weekend by winning 2 (so far) at Miss St, who were RPI 37.Faustus said:RED AG 98 said:

They have a Top 20 RPI (18 for the nonce) and with that sked it shouldn't fall too much. I hope they only pick up 5 more conference wins (and the two early week games) because I think they'd get in at 11-19 and it's a good precedent for the SEC.

Kentucky taking 2/3 at Tennessee is a bit of a surprise.
Well, we chose to make it that way by losing a few of them at home.RED AG 98 said:
Our non-conference is just really weak this year.

I specifically meant non-conference RPI, as I stated in the follow-up post... I was comparing our results with Florida, who has a much higher RPI. I was suggesting their non-conference RPI at #1 is a huge part of why they are rated so much above us given our SEC record and resume are quite a bit better.Luke The Drifter said:Sean98 said:Well, we chose to make it that way by losing a few of them at home.RED AG 98 said:

Our non-conference isn't all that weak after all. It wasn't great...but it certainly wasn't really week. According to Warren Nolan, our non-conference Strength of Schedule was #162. Nothing to get excited about for sure, but we're pretty much par for the course compared to other SEC teams.
46 - Florida
83 - Vanderbilt
88 - Auburn
118 - Ole Miss
125 - Georgia
127 - Arkansas
146 - South Carolina
161 - Alabama
162 - Texas A&M
191 - Oklahoma
201 - Texas
210 - Tennessee
227 - Kentucky
232 - Mississippi State
237 - LSU
245 - Missouri
Our only terrible non-conference loss was to New Mexico State (RPI #164). Our other non-conference losses were to:
Cal-Poly - RPI 19
Texas State - RPI 87
Arizona - RPI 17
Oklahoma State - RPI 68
UTSA - RPI 28
Yes...we could have/should have won those games, but with the exception of the one NMSU game, the other losses aren't necessarily killers.
We certainly cannot afford to drop any of the remaining non-conference games vs. Sam Houston (RPI 229), Lamar (RPI 70), or at Houston (RPI 108). All are must-wins.

The CalPoly and SW Texas losses don't look too bad, nor does Arizona or UTSA at this point. Going 1-8 in the first 3 SEC series with the bulk of those at home is killing us.
We did hit their pitchers more than Tenn did.LatinAggie1997 said:Captn_Ag05 said:

Does the 1 win vs UK look better now or do the 2 wins vs UT look worse, or both can be true?
