We're really giving him credit for Stewart's injury? Wasn't that a hyper extended knee from an awkward leg plant on the mound this year?

the tough thing for Spencer...

he is out of college eligibility -- was draft bound at the end of the season

considered a possible day 1 draft pick ~ 2nd round or competitive balance round

This isn't just a Max Weiner thing. The MLB has gone way up in slider usage recently, and the injuries have followed.

Some guys get hurt and it ruins them. Others wind up like Cortez, who threw sliders all day and got drafted highly because of it. Pitchers know it's a risk but they like getting batters out too
