Dang dude, I agree with trouble on this one. Of all the things to ***** about...
It is weird how gay some of these people are. Surprised this wasn't about having hot girls there.BadMoonRisin said:
I love A&M, but this gatekeeping gayness is one of the small things I hate every single time.

In the late 80s or early 90s, the yell leaders showed up to Olsen and tried to commandeer leading the student section. It went poorly - VERY poorly - for the yell leaders.

I mean, it is a joke that they retired Childress' Jersey, bitty now he has something in common with Shedeur Sanders. They both had their jerseys retired while accomplishing nothing on the field.

I'm not talking about the jerseys. I'm talking about the cannon. Sorry that wasn't clear.

I'm pretty sure they came dressed for the tu double header in 1989 but that was the only way they could be assured on entrance. That was a really tough student ticket to get. Many were left disappointed and missed out on the greatest game of Aggie baseball.

I legit just started laughing at reading your reply, I didn't even notice the howitzer in the background!!ensign_beedrill said:

I like that they put Childress's number up, for the record.
I want to say they tried something in '98 or '99, maybe for the 'sip series, but they were summarily dismissed.SunrayAg said:Kansas Kid said:Luke The Drifter said:

In 1991 they showed up to the first game of the sip series in full uniform, and told us we needed to clear out the front row so they could run back and forth and lead yells. About 3000 of us told them it's not going to happen and they need to GTFO. And they did.
Untrue. Schloser took us to Omaha twice, and MJ took us in '93 and '99.Luke The Drifter said:Backyard Gator said:ensign_beedrill said:

I'm not thrilled his number is retired, but he does have the most CWS trips of any A&M head coach.
The numbers are not permanently retired.Backyard Gator said:Untrue. Schloser took us to Omaha twice, and MJ took us in '93 and '99.Luke The Drifter said:Backyard Gator said:ensign_beedrill said:

There is a difference between retiring a jersey and retiring a number......notice which one I referenced.jkag89 said:The numbers are not permanently retired.Backyard Gator said:Untrue. So what is the difference if at some point in the future Aggie players or coaches will wear a jersey with these numbers? I get you don't like RC's jersey represented on the outfield wall but from what I have gathered in all the discussions about this.it was done more to represent the excellent teams and players of the RC era than to honor the man himself. This seems entirely different than the Shedeur Sanders jersey retirement.Backyard Gator said:There is a difference between retiring a jersey and retiring a number......notice which one I referenced.jkag89 said:The numbers are not permanently retired.Backyard Gator said:Untrue. And it was Schloss that stopped him from getting there twice.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but 2015 was the year they hosted the Super because Hyman was a ***** who advocated for his former employer, and 2016 was the year we hosted, but lost because they threw some junkballer we could not touch in the deciding game. Am I close?tjack16 said:LB12Diamond said:

I'll never get over those 2015/2016 TCU super regionals. Especially the fact that the 2016 team didn't make it to Omaha.
