First it was the lights, then the dh, then a dropping of the unwritten rules, then the bat flip, and now the safety base
We do this to ourselves. Drop an out in the outfield which leads to a run for lsu. And don't score on the safety squeeze. Could easily be 4-3 Ags…. But we do it the hard way.

The green bag is meant to avoid contact. If you bunt to 1B side and 1B sets up on green bag you have to switch to white. But we went to green and throw brought him into runner.

No. A right-handed batter running a straight line to the green bag will cross the line right about where Royo did. You can't really do it any different. Maybe he crosses one step sooner if he runs to the outside of the green. It's just a rule that has never made sense, and only the Aggies' luck brought it back into play with the new green base. Under the old system you had to run in an oval. Now at least you can run in a straight line.
