DFW resident but spend very little time near Arlington. What's some suggestions on places to grab and early dinner before the game tonight?

Grease Monkey was great last time I went but it's been awhile (burgers)

Never gone wrong with Pappasitos or Pappadeaux

Tipsy Oak is a cool place if you like craft beer, and food is good

A Rodeo Goat just opened downtown in Division and there is a Boomer Jack's and Ojos Locos closer to 30. J. Gilligan's is also downtown on Abram if you want to experience the local scene.

Downtown Arlington has some solid options:
- Hurtado BBQ
- Mellow Mushroom (pizza)
- Babe's

There's also a ton of options at Texas Live right next to the stadium, would be a great place to watch the basketball game if you're interested in that. There's also your typical chains closer to 30.

Nice! It's awesome to be there for a big sporting event

I would park and eat at one of the joints at Texas Live. Then walk to the game. If you want more upscale go to Cut and Bourbon steakhouse at Live! By Loew's or Farena's pizza/Italian in the other Loew's hotel right across the street. And they take reservations and have great cocktails.
I love reservations before a sporting event like this. Do not like to wait in lines. Life is too short.

And I think it is way too much hassle to eat away from walking distance to the ballpark.

Lockhart Smokehouse at Texas Live is solid.

Yeah FYI lots of the specialty stands are closed inside. If you want something outside of the norm it's probably not available inside the stadium

interesting. It was definitely open last night. Although, at some other place inside… 3 chicken strips and small fries was $15, and coke was $10. Was plenty good, but $28 for a small amount of food & drink.

WhataBurger is inside the ballpark too. Between 3rd base and Left field. Close to Hurtado. Golden Chick is in right-field corner.

Whataburger on the main concourse 3rd base side was open last night. Better than most of the concession options. Paid $40+ for what I'd normally pay around $20 at WB

On Saturday it opened at 3pm.

Only options were a BBQ sandwich and Nachos.

The ballparks (Daikan and GLF) both staff vendors based on projected attendance and compared to opening day the fare is relatively limited. I mentioned that the Lexus club fare at GLF for the premium seats was just drinks and limited snacks a couple of years ago. They asked us to police our own snack pickups which is hardly a "luxury" experience…

I didn't make the trip due to primarily timing and tiredness (2.5 hours of total driving plus parking make the trip a careful choice!) I was disappointed by the UCLA game in the sense we just don't want games like that. I hope everyone who drove in had fun!

The club fare was non existent this year. Just a 10% discount which was quickly recouped when the payment console asks which tip you want to give (15%, 20%, or 25%).

Was very disappointed with the club experience this year. Not sure I would do it again. There was nothing to be had in there. My wife had to go a long way to even find popcorn.
