I thought it had to be a 4 pitch walk to start the chant. So just like if you're down 0-2, then he throws 4 straight balls it wouldn't start the chant, neither would a hbp.

I know. I remember when "Damnit, Deggs!" was the constant cry from our bleachers and Deggs was seen as doing gimmick little league stuff on the basepaths. So we got rid of him and within 2 years everyone wanted him back because we couldn't score runs any more.
