Thanks, that's a good explanation. I always thought that change in ratings was based on the previous day.

Of course another possible explanation, which we shouldn't discount, is that Stankey is using his influence with Warren Nolan to make us look bad.

If Vandy does exactly that... 1-2 each vs the good teams and sweeping the bad their projected RPI is only low 80s. 16 SEC wins and outside the RPI realm of consideration. That's crazy. What may save them this year is that DSR and KPI are both items the committee considers now and Vandy is MUCH higher in those metrics. Like 40 spots higher.

Florida is such an enigma. High RPI, good conference record. But, they seem to be really bad at fielding, and when things go wrong then they just let it get really bad. Auburn with a 4 run top of the 9th so far, up 6-3.

Last night, I noted that Georgia starting pitcher Vigue was pulled after two innings for an injury. Looks like it might have just been cramps; if so, that's good news for Georgia.

I wouldn't lock GT in just yet. They still have Wake and BC series plus UGa next Tues. Probably more in the Georgia/t.u./us (right now) range.

I don't see them falling out of national seed range but there's still a month to go. UCLA and UNC are probably about as close to top 8 locks as you can get -- especially with their respective schedules. There are probably 10 schools that can slide into those 6 slots.

Do announcers deliberately thinknof the dumbest thing they can say, and then makes sure it comes out on the air?

Guy on the tu/Gump game just said that being physically imposing makes it easier to pitch multiple days in a row. I'd get fired for calling out my partner too much.
