Really frustrating for me personally. After the fiasco of driving back-and-forth for that Sunday Texas game only to have it canceled… to then this being the other only game I can go to this regular season at home. Very frustrating

I don't know what I did to make the baseball gods angry!

Not necessarily. Every set up is different. The OP asked for a met's opinion so I provided one.

Well what do ya know! I'm a Met too! Just retired, that's all. Btw, it looks like you surmised correctly since the Euro, Canadian and GFS are all showing rain lasting into Friday evening. All the latest Hi-Res models are backing that up also. Even if the rain ends by 7 pm, the field might be pretty soggy. Cheers!

Example - yesterday, weather underground (not the locals) predicted 2.5"+ or rain in the afternoon. What we actually got barely registered.

The "Aggiedome" was invented by a forecaster on KBTX (Roger Barry) in the 90s. One spring we had a number of squall lines start breaking up after they crossed I-35, and we got nothing from them. He started talking about the "Aggie Dome," and it made it's way to texags.

It looks like the rain chance tapers off as the evening goes on. Given how packed the weekend is with events, I'm inclined to think that they will keep the game on Friday and just delay if need be. DH on Saturday runs into Banana Ball, and Sunday brings its own limitations on innings.

I think we play tomorrow as well. TV doesn't want the change, and frankly with the thin bullpen it's not at all to our advantage so I don't think we'll push for it. We want maximum use of our key bullpen pieces and having a sleep in between is massive. Yes, the same applies for Auburn or any other team, but our construction really wants more time. In my humble opinion, of course.
