I have a question for you doc. I'm scheduled to get my second Moderna shot two days after I return back from a trip down to Houston, where I'll be with some friends and attending an Astros game. I'll also be flying. I don't expect to get COVID while on the trip, but if course you never know. Should I reschedule that second shot until I'm further out from traveling or will it be fine?

It should be fine unless you are ill at the time you are supposed to get the vaccine. Then I would postpone it. Two weeks after the first shot you have some significant immunity. You might not get sick not likely only mild symptoms.

Do you have a link on where to get your numbers for updated deaths?

https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailytrendsdeaths

https://txdshs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/ed483ecd702b4298ab01e8b9cafc8b83

I just want to make sure I'm looking at the most accurate and up to date ones.

Great links. Thanks. The 2nd link is suggesting a 646 daily death average s of 4/14/21, though. I think the issue is on 4/7/21, they clearly backlogged 2632 cases on one day that doesn't fit, that skewed the numbers.

So when you read 4/13/21, the daily deaths read 1013. But now that this backlog is taken care of and not in the last 7 days, on 4/14/21 it shows 646. Although 4/14/21 isn't complete, it should still be in the 700s when done. So I think deaths are still trending way down.

Probably at the very least pretty flat

Hey Doctor Rev,
I'm on day 4 of this disease and my fever is consistently 102. Exhausted, chronic dry cough. Significant medical history: 65, pneumonia 3 times but last time was 7 years ago, stint put in May 2019, about 20 lbs overweight. Take BP pill that keeps BP at a consistent 118/78. Wife is sick now but she's 5'4, 110 and 45 years old. We have a 4 year old and he's got it too. Our nanny despite being vaccinated took off like a white guy at an Antifa rally. I've read several articles about a "Covid cocktail" to boost the immune system.
We moved here a few months and don't know any doctors. Can anyone help?

The doc posts his cocktail on all of his Facebook posts. The most recent one is linked at the top of the page. When I was sick I talked to doctors over the phone and monitored my blood oxygen through a pulse oximeter at home. The docs were saying that when it gets too low, it is a good indicator to get medical attention. Good luck! Praying for you all!

You need to get on supplement cocktail as soon as possible. I would suggest considering monoclonal antibodies and/or ivermectin also.

7 day average as of 4/20/21 according to this now 702 and still dropping. 429, 427, and 647 the last 3 days. So possibly trending to the 500s very soon.

Edit: Of course the day after I say this, 1077 listed for 4/21/21. Makes me think there was some backlogging in there from the previous lower days. Even with that, it's a 4 day average of 645, so we'll see what the next 3 days bring for the 7 day average.

Rev or other Docs....

My wife and I are due for Pfizer round 2 next Wednesday. Our whole family has a stomach bug running through us right now. We are probably on the downhill side but still feel pretty bad. Should we reschedule Wednesday or go ahead and get it? We are both 37 and healthy if that matters.

I'm not an expert, but India got a late start on Covid and they are where we were in Dec-Jan. A country with over a billion people, 90% of which are crammed in slums, and unlike China, being somewhat truthful of their numbers.

They don't get hit hard deaths or hospitalizations because only 9% of their population makes it to age 65

Compare that to about 16% in the US and over 30% in Italy.

So what you seeing into the India data today is nothing but widespread availability of testing, a solid 9 months behind the US

Avg life expectancy in India is 70 according to the USCB...the issue of more testing is one thing...but perhaps they got too complacent and frankly it is not the cleanest of places...throw in the Kumb Mela and it is a recipe for disaster...That festival is regularly the biggest concentration of humans anywhere on earth

India over 65: 6.0%. (https://www.prb.org/countries-with-the-oldest-populations)

US over 65: 16.5% (https://www.statista.com/statistics/457822/share-of-old-age-population-in-the-total-us-population)

Italy over 65: 23.2% (https://www.statista.com/statistics/569201/population-distribution-by-age-group-in-italy)

Also:

India over 70: 3.73% (https://knoema.com/atlas/India/topics/Demographics/Age/Population-aged-70-years)

India over 75: 2.3% (https://knoema.com/atlas/India/topics/Demographics/Age/Population-aged-75-years)

So yes, the actual disease progressed similarly in all three countries but the outcomes were different because the populations were quite different. The outcome measures we focused on in the the first 4-6 months, mostly hospitalizations and deaths, showed the exact results you would expect. Countries with larger old populations had worse outcomes, as did countries with larger populations of unhealthy people like smokers and obese people.

No one wants to point this out because it makes clear how absolutely pointless the attempts have been to shut down and mask our way to different outcomes have been

I have friends in India and Pakistan who've lost a lot of friends and family to Covid. One wedding resulted in 16 deaths.

Question about post-exposure ivermectin regimen and taking the vaccine: will the high-dose ivermectin interfere with the vaccine? I have been exposed, I have tested negative 3x. I have taken the 1st two doses of the ivermectin "prophylactic" dose. I want to get the J&J vaccine but am concerned that the ivermectin will inhibit the vaccine's efficacy. Do you have any concerns about my getting the vaccine right away vs. waiting a while?

No it should not have any effect on the vaccine. If you tested negative 3x you are fine to get the vaccine.

Dr Rev,

I've been using your "covid cocktail" of vitamins/supplements for about 8 months and honestly haven't felt better overall in quite awhile. I wanted to ask about something and see if you had any knowledge or information on it, though.

I've been getting all of the supplements from Amazon but have not been able to find NAC recently. Maybe 3 weeks ago, it started leaking out that the FDA had sent warning letters to several "hangover cure" manufacturers stating that NAC was originally a drug (or some such) and cannot be part of a supplement. Amazon evidently started systematically removing all NAC products from their site (removing "shipped and sold by Amazons" last, of course) because of concerns over this.

In trying to find out what happened, I am now seeing that there are a couple of studies underway that are showing promising results with severe covid cases and that is making it appear as though this action may just be a play to block the use of NAC so drug makers will have a market.

I didn't realize it was useful for something other than prevention in your cocktail but after losing it from my daily vitamin group, it became obvious pretty quickly that it was making a big difference with my chronic sinusitis/allergic rhinitis so I'd hate to not be able to use it.

Thoughts?

It is pretty crappy but now after almost 60 years the FDA is declaring it a drug instead of a supplement because of the benefits in some trials so it will likely now be a prescription medication.

Not a doctor obviously, so hopefully Reveille will check me here if this is a bad idea but I would ask your doctor for Tessalon Perles. I have a back with a tendency to lock up after being hit by a couple of drunk drivers so when I used to get bronchitis 3-4 times a year because of my allergies, these little pills were worth their weight in gold...stopped any cough for me.

That doesn't make any sense when it's a much higher dosage they're talking about, does it?

I explained what I found out to my wife and daughter and they both chimed in with something I didn't realize was better when taking all the vitamins but is worse now...my OCD tendencies.

I didn't realize it but they are correct - I've been much more bothered when things aren't in order with life, chewing my nails a great deal and doing things like checking the doors/alarm several times a night. I looked it up and, sure enough, it helps with obsessive tendencies, as well. It also stated that it's good for the liver if you've taken a lot of Tylenol and, since I have never been able to take anything else due to allergies, that was likely a bonus as well.

I went and purchased some directly from the company yesterday.

I know this thread isn't about this one particular thing, but since it was mentioned here, I'd follow up.

Daily deaths according to https://coronavirus.1point3acres.com/en is now 588. With cases really plummeting about a month ago, and deaths already trending down before this significant case drop likely due to decoupling of cases/hospitalizations from vaccines in the elderly, I could really see deaths plummet at an even higher rate the next 2 months.

I have been taking NAC as part of my COVID cocktail and planned to continue to take it based on it's anti-oxidant benefits. I saw recently that the FDA has changed the status of NAC to a drug rather than a supplement. This has caused Amazon to no longer offer NAC for sale. I was able to find some on Walmart.com and bought a bunch. Have you heard about this? What are your thoughts on NAC in general as a long term supplement and what are your thoughts on it being designated as a drug? Does this mean that it really works well?

Edit: Sorry I didn't see a previous post about NAC. But still begs a response about NAC. Also my MIL reported very few allergies this year after taking NAC as part of the cocktail.
