COVID is a coronavirus and like other coronaviruses it does not behave like the viruses you mention. Spreading of false information like this does a lot of harm and can lead to incorrect decisions by individuals and organizations. Please do some reading on the viruses you mentioned and make sure to educate whoever it is you heard this information from.

I had to give up isolating him about day 3 because it just wasn't practical. Never had any symptoms.

Yeah, after my 7 yr old basically did his video game isolation with his sick 18 yr old bro for 2 weeks and didn't show any symptoms,I figured you'd be OK.

This. So much This. We have a set time limit and even that can create a monster.
