Traveling with another couple who wanted to stop there. Fueled up, walked in and saw pre-Covid levels of frenzied activity. No system in place, occupancy limits, flow control, social distancing. The odds are high that this location is ripe for community spread. And I'm a huge fan of the place.

IH-10 East of Houston looked PACKED. I am talking 2 deep at every pump. Parking pot stuffed. People crawling around like ants. Glad I was buzzing by 75.

I stopped at Whataburger in Canton a few days ago. The drive through line was long so I went in and it was pretty busy, only employees wearing masks. I got a number five with jalapenos and carried on living my life. Really makes you think.

I am old so bear with me. If you walk in a business and don't like the way it looks. Is it still legal just to turn and leave.

Good to know that more and more people are beginning to ignore the fear mongering.

The one in Alabama yesterday was insane. I am talking fire code level capacity. The lines we 15-20 people deep at each register. People were wearing masks but damn.

What is the case count in Van Zandt County? Not very high is the answer.
Go anywhere in East Texas and it is pretty similar. I am in the Tyler area a lot and the "mask compliance" is pretty hit or miss. Low case counts in those areas mean compliance is pretty much a non-issue.

Honestly, everywhere we went this weekend was doing well or packed. I do not have any problem with it (if you have seen my posting history). Six Flags was having a special and while it was nothing like pre Covid numbers, there was a good crowd. Scheels was packed. The mask policy has the effect of giving those more nervous an excuse to go out. I will say that I thought that was the point. Hope that the masks lower the rate and allow people to get out and live their lives. It's also why I think we should allow fans to attend football (or any sports) games.

How could you be so insensitive to travel with someone that doesn't live in the same house as you?

I would still choose Bucees over most other places, I was talking to an employee there a few weeks ago and they are cleaning 3 times more than normal. If you have ever been to Bucees you know how clean the keep the place normally.

Eastern Dallas has 99% of the people wearing mark, east Texas and Shreveport along 20 about 50-60%, in the smaller towns maybe 25%.

I was at that same bucees yesterday.

But what I don't understand is that if you are so concerned about a super spreader store, why did you walk in? Did you not see the 1000 cars in the parking lot?

I walked right in and was proud of the way people were handling themselves. Families enjoying the food. Everyone wearing a mask. Treating others with respect and doing the responsible thing. Not running to the internet and tattle telling.

I have Tiger Blood. I'm not worried. It was more of a warning for genetic inferiors like you. I guess I'll just let Darwinism run its course. Hope you didn't get the 'Rona.

Everyone is going to get the rona eventually. For most there's no reason to be scared of it.

Are you going to avoid a specific Bucees because someone said on TexAgs that it was busy at some point in the last few days?

Right and the one close to San Marcos might have more young college students and river seekers, the one at Temple is pretty much pure tourists travelling through, and the one just North of Fort Worth is on the "good" side of town where cases are fewer and people might be apt to be mask rebels.

The one close to San Marcos is actually in New Braunfels. I go there about once a week and people wear mask in as per the city ordinance. The fuel pumps have not been packed as there's about 120 total. Also, rivers were closed to public use on July 4th weekend so not as many in town these days.
