I tested positive for covid almost 5 months ago and I've had lingering symptoms for the past 5 months. Every two weeks the symptoms return again. Thankfully it's been nothing serious and I think I'm finally getting over it. I'm mid 30's and healthy. Covid is a weird virus.

Hang in there OP.

Curious ... when was your last positive test?

Thanks for all the support! They sent me home last night and today started on some heavy duty antibiotics that are supposed to clean up my lungs. I feel noticeably better so far today!

I haven't tested at all since I first got covid. I tested again 2 weeks after I first tested positive and I got another positive result.

One of my wife's friends got covid-19 and now has migraines. She didn't get her first one in her life until testing positive for Covid.

Another employee is still getting regular headaches 5 weeks after testing positive. No other symptoms for around 2 weeks.

Super duper weird virus.

Most Coworkers are experiencing moderate symptoms. However, one of my coworkers was hospitalized for 3 days buts out now.

Glad you are doing better. How long from exposure to first day you described in OP?

I suspect my first exposure was 6 days before symptom onset. Think an all hands meeting was the culprit.

Interesting. Was your fever constant up to that point? Mine has been a come and go low grade fever, the cough started day one. It's bad in the morning then subsides during the day.
Fever was low grade that fluctuated as Tylenol kept it below 99.4 for the first week. I worked outside during the first week, away from people. However, my fever gradually increased during days 9 through 12, reaching a high of 103.0 on day 12 before it completely disappeared.

I am glad you are doing better. I am at about 80% of my strength pre-COVID. I don't ever remember being that sick in my entire life.

My wife had a small birthday party on a Wednesday evening, with 7 of the 8 attendees contracting COVID-19. My symptoms started on Tuesday, with my wife and daughter exhibiting symptoms on the following day.

Friend of mine died yesterday. Early 40s.

She'd been feeling sick for 10 days. Ended up going to the doctor and had a bladder and sinus infection. They did a quick test and test came back negative. But then yesterday she woke up with breathing issues then stopped breathing. Her husband gave her CPR until the medics arrived but they couldn't save her.

Standing by to see if the quick test was inaccurate.

So sad about it. Just a sweet sweet person.

So sorry to hear. Did she have any other issues before these recent developments? Maybe there was something else going on that was unknown?

Again, I'm very sorry for your loss.

High chance that was a false positive.

Highly doubt she just passed away from a cold/bladder infection.

I've known several people who were misdiagnosed with a bladder infection and it ended up being covid. Both were women.

Really sorry for the loss, that's terrible.

Of course I could be wrong, I've just never heard of that before.

I think lockdown is an ineffective tool and I hate the fear monger tactics being used. I know a lot of people who have had covid and It wasn't as bad as portrayed by media outlets.

That being said covid is still a thing and it kills certain people, it's definitely not out of the question here.

I posted it because it seems suspicious. And they did a quick test which has a higher chance of false positives. I never said it was covid but it sounds awfully suspicious with being sick 10 days then having breathing issues that result in death.

I'm not trying to create some narrative. I'm talking about a strange and sudden death from an otherwise healthy person that followed a similar pattern to other covid related deaths.

Blood oxygen levels are at 97-98. Resting pulse around 86, jumps to 125 or so when I get up for anything.

Day 1: Monday started with debilitating exhaustion, relentless headache and fever. I slept 21 hours in a 24-hour period.
Day 2: Fever gone, headache gone, exhaustion remained
Day 3: same
Day 4: Mostly same
Day 5: Exhausted during the day, slept 13 hours and fever came back at night and it broke while I was sleeping. Sheets were soaked.
Day 6: Same as day 5 minus the fever.
Day 7: counting back to midnight, kind of same as day 5. Woke up at 3 am in soaked sheets again but I felt good.

So now today, Day 7, it just lingers. I can breathe easily through my nose as I have all week. If I take a huge deep breath it's a struggle but regular breathing is easy.

I am monitoring blood oxygen levels and pulse rate. Today I started on a steroid inhaler and after just two puffs this morning I could feel a difference. My sister is a nurse and she has recommended that I do as little physically, as possible.

I have been taking the following:
Multi vitamins with zinc
Vitamin D3
Vitamin C
Probiotics
Clear Lungs
Sudafed
Allegra
Methylprednisolone (steroid RX from doctor)

Drinking two pitchers of ice water a day along with three Gatorade's. I have hot coffee in the morning and hot tea at night.

Add Quercitin and Pepcid

I have a hypothesis that super spreader events may occur in restrooms at offices/public buildings.

My hypothesis is based on the studies (e.g. https://aip.scitation.org/doi/10.1063/5.0013318) that show that the virus can be passed in an infected person's stool and that flushing the toilet can aerosolize the virus. If the virus is aerosolized in this manner in an indoor, low humidity, cool environment, then people wearing cloth masks or surgical masks even would not probably have much protection.

I know a couple people who have gotten it where it seemed like a public restroom was their only major exposure point. It's also possible i suppose that someone wiped themselves and didn't wash their hands well enough and contaminated some surface. I just don't see many findings about super spreading events from contacting surfaces.

Yep I find myself not using public poopers on road trips for this very reason. So far my body has cooperated.

Thanks. Both are fully recovered, wife in 5 days and daughter in 7 days.

I took a 20-minute COVID-19 test on the day I first had a fever, but it was negative. When my daughter lost her sense of taste and smell, she tested positive (5 days after her first symptoms).
