My only purpose is wanting a fair comparison for her when this statement was made "there is only one other outside hitter in the SEC hitting less than .200 that starts." Make the comparison to people around the league in her role. That's all I'm asking.

Stowers and Hellmuth are considered our two starting OHs by literally everyone that knows anything about vball. We are all rolling our eyes at Gap. Not worth arguing such a ridiculous point. Part of a successful program is attracting new fans that don't know the game all that well. Hellmuth is not a 6 rotation player so when Stowers starts in the front row at the start of a match, Hellmuth doesn't "start". She is still the OH that subs in when the rotation gets the other OH to the front row.

She isn't a starter. Unless we change the rotation position to have a decent matchup
Applegate tends to be the starter.

When we announce the starters I don't see or Hear Hellmuth.

She is however the second outside hitter. So when discussing the stats of outsides it is semantics to say her hitting percentage doesnt count as she isn't a starter

But a better way to phrase would be all of the outside hitters she ranks X with significant amount of swings

my initial comment was concerning negative comments by others calling Emily out.
I used the term "nails" and was called out on her hitting % last night. She had 12 Ks. She hit 600+ on Friday. Jaime has her on the court. There must be something he sees in her play.

I told my wife my text would open a Pandoras Box. WE WON, DAMMIT!

In set 4, she actually returned the ball ok, but we couldn't get the offense going in that rotation with 1 at middle and9 at the opposite. Switching to Fitch was a good move but Helmuth was better than I thought in person. Anyhow, wanted to give Emily her props…she held her own and we will need her moving forward. Go Ags!
