I still can't believe we pulled that upset off. I think many of us knew it was possible but to be able to actually do it was awesome. We came out firing on all cylinders, playing some of the best volleyball I've seen this team play all year in the first 2 sets. Then Nebraska takes the 3rd set and forces a 4th. We build a big lead but ultimately Nebraska comes out with the set 4 win. And then in the 5th set to go out and remain calm was exactly what needed to happen! We have faced adversity all year and it prepared us for this. So happy and proud of the girls! Especially Logan, Ifenna and Ava who came in as freshman when the program was at rock bottom and stuck with the program and trusted Coach Morrison could bring this team back. Now it's time to celebrate, get some rest and get ready for a tough Pitt team

It was my first college volleyball match I've been to and I don't think it will ever be topped. Thank you to coach and players who took time for pictures and conversations with her after the game. So many pictures and videos and can't post them all.

For all those who have joined us recently following the girls post season run, find a way to get to Reed for a match. It will be fun.
I am so glad they changed the scoring rules. I remember when you could only score during your serve.
The players weren't even born when that was the case, so no cognitive dissonance.
I am just saying as a spectator it was terrible.

The talk was the Nebraska team was in the Top 5 of this century for NCAA VB
So as talented as we are that could be one of the top 10 easy because of the home court advantage

Fair enough. I don't normally enjoy big A&M wins but this one was a lot of fun not even taking into account Nebraska being bounced. Lednicky was nails.

I think the unsung hero for today's match was Emily Hellmuth! Her blocking ability to shut down the middles as vital. She shut down soon to be first team all American, Andi Jackson. To the point where she was subbed out the last 3 sets.
She took some really big swings today and was fearless. This was the Emily that ripped apart Wisconsin last year.

Ags were criminally under ranked at a 3 seed. Jamie doesn't like that we use RPI so heavily to seed the NCAA tournament. More evidence that there is a need for change is no 2 seed advanced to the regional finals, they all lost to 3 seeds.
Good news is volleyball now has its own rule committee, rather than being partnered up with other sports so they can make their own way instead of being stuck with tournament seeding rules that were used by the other sports they were stuck with.

Emily's resilience this year has been remarkable. She's been subbed out of a handful of matches and replaced with a freshman, but she keeps coming back and having big games in big moments. I think today was probably her best match of the season. She had some big swings today and some really big blocks but the thing I was most impressed with was her passing.
