Watched the Nebraska presser after the match. On youtube. Read the comments on the page. Note that they were written AFTER the Aggies defeated the #1 ranked and undefeated Cornhuskers IN Lincoln.
"Embarrassing! To let a *hit team like texas am beat you is laughable."
Hmmmm, calling the Aggies a '*hit team' AFTER their awesome win ?? That's the 'laughable' part. But there are always wacko comments anywhere one is allowed to make comments AND the replies to the comment are pretty good.
In 2024 @AggieWTEN ended UNC’s 94 home match win streak on its way to winning the national championship. Today @AggieVolleyball takes on 33-0 #1 Nebraska with the Cornhuskers on a 63 home match win streak. Let’s see the Aggies make history again today! @12thMan #GigEm

was i the only one that thought the nebraska coach looked in above her paygrade ?
She was clearly shellshocked after the second set. I think I read she is new this year? Goes to show the value of facing real adversity before its all on the line

I can't find the game on-demand on ESPN's app - not under volleyball, nor if you search Texas A&M or Nebraska. Lol classic. Maybe it'll post after this re-air of the game that's live on espnU right now.

She's been to the national finals the last two years… I think she knows what she is doing.
Quote:
Nebraska native Dani Busboom Kelly was named the fourth head coach in program history on Jan. 29, 2025 by Nebraska Director of Athletics Troy Dannen.
Busboom Kelly succeeds her former coach and mentor, John Cook, who announced his retirement following the 2024 season after 25 seasons as Nebraska's head volleyball coach.
A Husker national champion player and assistant coach, Busboom Kelly spent the last eight years building Louisville into a national power. The Cardinals have reached two NCAA Championship matches, three NCAA Semifinals, five regional finals and have won four ACC titles.

Yes - I was thinking the same thing while watching. She looked like a fighter who had taken an unexpected, hard body-blow and wasn't sure she was going to recover.

I know I'm one who is always yelling to set the middles but go look at the stats from yesterday. Our middles had 22 total attacks in a 5 set match while Hellmuth has 41, Logan 56 and Stowers 52. Nebraska set their middles over 60 times. Both our middles are hitting over .400 for the year why not give them a few more swings. Also, I know the middles are not always available every set but 22 total attempts for 5 set is ridiculous IMO.
