Soccer (12-4-1, 7-1 in SEC play)
#7 Texas A&M’s season ended in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon as the Aggies fell to #2 North Carolina, 1-0, in Cary, North Carolina.
- UNC’s Rachael Dorwart scored the match’s only goal in the 43rd minute.
- A&M managed four shots, two of which were on target.
- UNC registered seven shots, three of which were on target as Kenna Caldwell made two saves.
The Aggies will begin the 2021 season with an exhibition match against North Texas on August 10.
Men’s Tennis (18-8, 7-5 in SEC play)
No. 8 Texas A&M dominated the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament at the Mitchell Tennis Center in Bryan-College Station this weekend.

- The Aggies won the doubles point.
- Hady Habib won his match in straight sets (6-4, 6-0)
- Pierce Rollins won his match in straight sets (7-6, 6-1)
- Guido Marson won his match in straight sets (6-4, 7-5)
- Saturday: No. 8 Texas A&M 4, No. 24 Oklahoma 1
- The Aggies won the doubles point.
- Valentin Vacherot won his match in straight sets (6-3, 6-3)
- With the win, Vacherot became the program’s all-time leader in singles wins with his 86th victory.
- Hady Habib won his match in straight sets (7-6, 6-1)
- Noah Schachter won his match in straight sets (7-5, 6-4)
The Aggies are headed to Orlando next week to continue the NCAA Tournament.
- A&M will face No. 16 Mississippi State on Monday, May 17. The match begins at 6:00 p.m. CT.
Women’s Tennis (21-7, 9-4 in SEC play)
No. 10 Texas A&M won their first two matches in the NCAA Tournament in Evanston, Illinois, at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center on the campus of Northwestern University.

- Tatiana Makarova won her match in straight sets (6-1, 6-2)
- Jayci Goldsmith won her match in straight sets (6-1, 6-0)

- Northwestern took the doubles point.

Track & Field
Texas A&M wrapped up the regular season this weekend with the Aggie Invitational at E.B. Cushing Stadium in Bryan-College Station, and the Aggies won eight races and six field events.
- Immanuela Aliu won the women’s 200m with a time of 23.38.
- Javin Reed won the women’s 400m with a time of 54.84.
- Jean Jenkins won the women’s 800m with a time of 2:13.79.
- Annie Fuller won the women’s 1500m with a time of 4:31.92.
- Tyra Gittens won the women’s high jump with a jump of 1.84m(6-½).
- Ciynamon Stevenson won the women’s triple jump with a jump of 13.20m(43-3 ¼).
- Ryan Martin won the men’s 100m with a time of 10.14 (+4.9 wind). Devon Achane also clocked a 10.14 (+4.9).
- Lance Broome won the men’s 200m with a time of 20.32.
- Devin Dixon won the men’s 400m with a time of 46.28.
- Connor Schulman won the men’s 110m hurdles with a time of 13.83.
- A&M won the men’s 4x100m relay with a facility record time of 39.23.
- Carter Bajoit won the men’s high jump with a clearance of 2.13m(6-11 ¾).
- Josh Brown won the men’s discus with a throw of 54.42m(178-6).
- Alessio Pirruccio won the men’s hammer throw with a throw of 55.95m(183-6).
The Aggies host the 2021 Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships this week, with the meet beginning on Thursday and wrapping up on Saturday.

Baseball (27-23, 7-17 in SEC play)
Texas A&M won the weekend series over No. 12 Ole Miss in a thrilling three-game set at Olsen Field. The series victory was A&M’s first since taking two-of-three from Georgia in late March.
- Friday: Texas A&M 9, No. 12 Ole Miss 8
- A&M had an 8-4 lead going into the sixth, but a four-run inning tied the game.
- On the first pitch of the ninth, Will Frizzell hit a walk-off home run to right-center field. It was his second home run of the day.
- Saturday: No. 12 Ole Miss 12, Texas A&M 7
- A&M pitching allowed two runs in the fifth, three in the sixth and seven in the seventh as a 2-0 lead quickly turned into a 12-2 deficit.
- Frizzell homered in the seventh.
- Sunday: Texas A&M 6, No. 12 Ole Miss 5
- Frizzell hit a two-run home run in the first.
- Trailing 5-2 in the seventh, Frizzell hit a grand slam to take the lead. It was his fifth home run of the weekend. He has 18 on the year.
The Aggies travel to Auburn, Alabama, this weekend in a crucial SEC series as A&M and Auburn are fighting to make the SEC Tournament. The winner of this weekend’s series will sit in the driver’s seat for that 12th and final spot in Hoover.

Softball (31-20, 8-16 in SEC play)
Texas A&M was swept in a series that they very well could have won as the No. 4 Florida Gators walked off the Aggies twice in Gainesville this weekend.

- With A&M leading 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Makinzy Herzog walked the first two batters of the inning.
- After an infield fly, Charla Echols hit a three-run walk-off home run.
- Saturday: No. 4 Florida 4, Texas A&M 0
- Sunday: No. 4 Florida 6, Texas A&M 5
- With A&M leading 5-4, Kayla Poynter allowed a one-out double before Julia Cottrill hit a two-run walk-off home run to complete the sweep.
Next up is the SEC Tournament in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, this week. The Aggies finished 10th in the league this year and will be the #10 seed in the SEC Tournament.
- #10 Texas A&M faces #7 Tennessee on Wednesday, May 12, at Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa. First pitch is set for 4:15 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
- The winner will face #2 Arkansas in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday, May 13.
Men’s Golf
No. 14 Texas A&M is headed to the NCAA Albuquerque Regional as the #3 seed. The NCAA Championships begins May 17-19 at the Championship Course at the University of New Mexico.
- This is A&M’s 25th all-time NCAA Championship appearance and the Aggies’ 17th out of the last 18.
- The other 13 teams playing in the Albuquerque regional include Oklahoma, Arizona State, Texas Tech, New Mexico, Stanford, Oregon State, Boise State, South Carolina, Nevada, San Diego, New Mexico State, Oakland and Prairie View A&M.
- The low five teams will advance to the NCAA Finals, which will be played May 28-June 2 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
