Quenton Jackson has been named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week for his performances in victories over Alabama and Mississippi State.

Jackson, a 6-foot-5 senior from Los Angeles, averaged 23 points, 3 rebounds and 2.5 steals in those games. He also shot 71.4 percent (15 of 21) from the field and 60 percent (3 of 5) on three-point attempts.

Jackson scored 28 points in an 87-71 victory over Alabama last Wednesday. That was the most points scored by an A&M guard since Danuel House had 32 in against Kentucky in the 2016 SEC Tournament Championship game.

In his final game at Reed Arena last Saturday, Jackson scored 18 points and had four steals in a 67-64 victory over Mississippi State.

And more than one highlight-reel slam.

Jackson, who leads A&M with a 14.5 scoring average, has scored in double figures in each of the last 13 games.

The Aggies, led by Jackson, look to keep things rolling on Thursday when they take on the Florida Gators in the second round of the 2022 Southeastern Conference Tournament.
