so, kind of interesting...most everyone agreed that Roger needed an early exit from either Nadal or Djoker to really have the best chance at winning another slam, and winning here.

The last time he needed a "door" to open was with the French Opene very year and likely needing a Nadal exit before the final. The day after Nadal lost at the French, giving Roger his road to the career slam, it took him 5 sets the following day to move on.

He got his door opened yesterday with Rafa going down, and today Roger needs 5 sets to move on.

Hell of a match today. Unfortunate that the Frenchie couldn't make more of an effort in the 5th, but Roger moves on.

Roger drops the 3rd set, and is down a break early in the 4th.

He won the 2nd set with ease, and his power was coming back a bit, then it really dragged in the 3rd set.

At least in the next major they are going to clamp down on all that screaming Sharapova does. The US Open has come out and said they will not allow it.

Fed is cruising now. Hope that back problem does not linger. He will need to be in top form to take out Joker.

the Kerber/Lisicki match is one of the best women's matches I have watched since I can remember.

Not only were they both playing outstanding tennis, battling back and fighting off pressure packed break or match points, it was also very much a country pride issue for the Germans.

That was fun stuff.

I would rather watch paint dry than watch women play tennis.

What's with the eff'd up way they are keeping the set score? I've never noticed it before this tourney.

I'd much prefer to get the entire story at a glance than to simply see the # of sets each player has won.

what feed are you watching? ESPN has it the full set result, the traditional way that Wimbledon and BBC's score always has been set total, game total, point total...so you only see the total sets on the score.
