yup. Jimmie whining all season. It's just the way it is. Kenseth was rolling into those restarts. It sucks but he has the right. The restart after Jimmie spun Gordon got hung out to dry on the bottom behind Kyle as he did the same thing and didn't anticipate Kenseth being so slow into the restart and Kyle checked up the whole bottom line.

it just is what it is. Kenseth(who I hate) reserves the right to take them to the green.

The 18 has been good on short runs and bad on long runs for years. Amazing that they can't figure that out and fix it.

It should be fun to watch the trucks race at Eldora Wednesday night. I don't normally watch the truck races but I like the variety this gives the series, plus my driver, Newman, will be making the start.

Used to be a big fan, now just an occasional casual fan. I think Chad Knaus and the 48 are cheating, and they are just really good at it (folks running Nascar ain't that bright in my opinion and will never catch him.). Jr is the most highly publicized driver that never wins(used to be a fan of his), but yet everyone is holding out hope he will. I think Nascar is just running around in circles and going nowhere (pardon the pun!) Basically, I got better things to spend my time and money on, like A&M Football Games, grandbaby and family, and more A&M football. -Gig 'Em!

It was good to see Ryan Newman win the race from the pole yesterday. He was the ONLY one who had a car to beat JJ. That is a prestigious race so it should help his chances for getting picked up by another team next year. Maybe RCR will take a chance on him since Harvick is going to SHR.

Fun fact: Newman is the only current Cup driver with a college degree.

You sure about that degree thing? I'm sure Vickers has a pretty advanced science degree (rocket science...actually).

Austin Dillon is taking Harvick's ride, so the only way Newman will move to RCR is if he can secure sponsorship for a 4th team, which is yet to be determined.

I hope Newman does land on his feet somewhere, always have liked him, and there is no doubt in his ability.

Another fun fact: Harvick and Newman share a birthday.

really wanted Jeff to win today on his bday and get that safety blanket of a win for the Chase. Unfortunate caution after he was pulling away from Kahne, but then again....the debris caution to even make the field come back together again towards the end was kinda bogus too. Jeff said he dominated the restart and blew turn 1, which is why Kasey just flew right past him.

Oh well, solid P2 and move on.

I'm sure plenty of y'all saw Tony Stewart broke his right leg this week. Max Papis is replacing him this weekend at Watkins Glen. I wonder who will fill in for him in the other races while Tony is out.

I completely agree, Pahdz. The Chase needs to have some road course races. Or just do away with the stupid azz Chase completely.

One thing I thought of today, the races leading up to the Chase usually have more drama than the races in the Chase themselves.

NASCAR could also help themselves by shortening the season to end before football gets ramped up, but that'll never happen.

If the Circuit of the Americas is smart, they will throw tons of cash at NASCAR to get on the schedule since there is so much talk about adding a road race to Chase.

There may have been some talk of Nationwide to CoTA. I know the road course in Montreal was replaced by the road course at Mid-Ohio (took place this past Sunday).
