Thought I would start this to post comments on the Aggie Women's and Men's teams in the tournament. We start today at 2 weather permitting. They are apparently offering a 3 day reserved seat package for $12. I'll fight the graduation traffic and be there. Love having us host NCAA Tournaments in all sports and seeing teams here who would never come here otherwise.

Hopefully the weather holds and we have a great weekend of Aggie tennis.

The Longhorns won their match so it'll be a rekindling for the women similar to what the men had last year.

My last memory of the Longhorn women's team in College Station was when we hosted the Big 12 Tournament during our last year in the conference. The stadium was broadcasting the A&M-Texas softball match on the TV in the breezeway downstairs and the Longhorn women's team was down there making disgusting remarks about the way our softball team looked. Nothing was off topic; weight, sexual orientation, make-up, etc.

I hope we give them the welcome they deserve tomorrow after taking care of Stony Brook.

Any news on when the today's match will start?

Match vs tu scheduled for 3 tomorrow, but will probably depend on when the men finish. They are scheduled to play Alcorn State at noon but that will be after the California vs Texas Tech match at 9 AM.
They did not play doubles tonight but started with singles. That gives us another hour of rest since tu finished at 2 PM today. Bhosalae won the first set at #4 when her shot hit the net and fell over. Gavrilovska finally won on her 5th match point. Ines Deheza at #2 lost the 1st set 6-1 but came back and won the 2nd set 6-1.

I wonder who Steve Denton will be for tomorrow?

The most excited I've ever seen Steve Denton was when Junior came back to clinch a 4-3 win over the Texas men last year. You're terrible at this.

Also, Cal handled TTU easily so we'll be up against the PAC12 tomorrow assuming we handle Alcorn. Cal won on courts 1 (6-4, 6-4) 2 (6-3, 6-2) and 5 (6-3, 6-2). Texas Tech won one first set in 3.

We're handling Alcorn pretty easily.

Rough day for Jackson in doubles and singles. Never quit fighting though. Hope he got if out of his system cause tomorrow will be tough.

For Women's Tennis, both courts are now in the tiebreaker. We need to win on one of the courts to get the doubles point.

In the singles matches, we have won three sets to their two!

Very intense doubles point for the women. Bhosale and Mamalat had won at #3, Hristov and Stancu led 7-6 and went to a tiebreaker. At the same time Deheza and Gavrilovska were down 6-7 and came back to get a tiebreaker. Deheza and Gavrilovska were leading in their tiebreaker when Hristov and Stancu won. In singles Hristov finally won on the 6th time at match point. The tu girl playing Mamalat double faulted twice on the last game to give us the match. The last fault barely got to the bottom of the net. Great win considering tu had 6 more hours of rest than we did after playing yesterday and it was a hot day out there

Men take on the California Golden Bears at 1:00 this afternoon at the Mitchell Tennis Center for the right to advance to Athens and the round of 16....Cal looked very good yesterday in easily dispatching Texas Tech....we will need to bring our best game today in order to move forward...

What is the 411 on our starting lineup moving forward? Joffe keeps referring to injuries. I realize IDeheza has been injured, but he's playing her at the 2 line? Will the lineup be healthy vs unc? Also, is PDeheza not a singles player or has she been injured as well? Thx for the updates!

I think Paula is injured and is red shirting. Our roster only shows 1 alternate, Mason Strickland.

Props to the women's team! Such an upgrade over the last regime.
