Heat sheet have been posted.

Some tough semifinal draws for the Aggie women with two automatic qualifiers and next best two times go to the finals

Jenifer Madu and Aaliyah Brown in the same heat of the 100m together with Jamine Todd of Oregon.

Ashton Purvis and Aaliyah Brown in the same heat of the 200m together with Morolake Akinosun of Texas, Dezerea Bryant of Kentucky and Cierra White of Texas Tech

Would have preferred all three Aggies in 100m and 200m to be in separate semi final heats. Regional qualifying placing was important in the semi final heat draws.

Remember the Aggie women were the top three qualifiers in the 200m first round but in the second round they ended up 1st, 8th and 10th best qualifier. This accounted for Purvis and A. Brown being in the same heat with several higher ranked qualifiers.

Men's Formchart from TFN:

2. Florida 63
3. Texas A&M 59

I've added the number of qualifiers from the contenders, the expected number of scorers and then their expected point total, so you can track any unexpected scorers. Disclaimer: I don't agree with all the projections like the A&M 3rd in the 4x4 or Akinosun winning the women's 100 but I'm too lazy to change all their projections to mine.

Looks like we're in the clear. I've seen/heard nothing that says otherwise and the posted results show us as qualified for the final.

That was too close and would have been devastating to a NC bid. Slow time because of the exchange.

Kind of a rough day for the guys so far. I was worried about Taplin coming in since it appeared that he pulled up at the regional meet. Were we counting on him for the 4x400?

A&M and UF up 1 in the 400mH, but A&M loses 4 and LSU is up 3 in 200. UF scores their expected 6 in SP and Dendy looks like he'll end up winning the LJ

We did not have a good day today. Fell out of competition for the championship trophy.

Lendore looked great, especially on the last leg of the 4x400. He was in fourth place, several yards behind the leaders when he took the baton. He eventually won the heat for the Aggies. Incredible last leg on the 4x400.

Did anyone notice the difference between the running efforts of Lendore and Josh Hernandez? Lendore is so relaxed; his movements are so smooth. Even at the very first part of his race [800m], Josh looked like he was exhausted.

Lendore will apparently run three races Saturday as he did today - 400, 4x100, and 4x400. I know that you have to let Coleman run his 400h race, but I wonder if we would score more total point if Coleman did not run the 400h and just did the 4x400.

4x100 - nearly missed the last exchange. Curious if it was due to fish jitters [third leg - fish Elijah Morrow].

Hope the women will do much better Thursday in their first day of competition.

Good comments. Not sure about the exchange though. It appeared to me that Lendore left a little early and then turned around to facilitate the exchange instead of letting Morrow place the baton in his hand. I could be wrong though since I've never run a relay, but this how it appeared to me.

A really disappointing day for the men. Really hope the ladies do much better today.
The team obviously has been through a lot this season. On paper, the men's team is one of the best in the NCAA. Before the start of the season, the team seems to be unstoppable with the likes of sprinters Shavez Hart and Devin Jenkins, quarter milers Taplin, Lendore, the twins Lathone and Latario in the jumps, Lindon victor in decathlon, the pole vaulters, Spencer in the Steeplechase. Many of them did not make the NCAA due to injury and other issues we may not be aware of.
Sprinters are becoming faster over last couple of years. Times that would have won the NCAA a couple years ago cannot even make the finals. Shavez ran 20.32 in the 200m and didn't make the finals but could have won NCAA a couple of years. Men are constantly running sub 10 for 100m now
It is really sad to to see this years senior class with the great Lendore go out this way. Maybe a couple of middle distance and distance runners who can score at NCAA to give us some flexibility might be the good thing. Oregon men strength is really the middle distance and distance but they have other people in sprints, hurdles and field events who can score. It just give more options for scoring.
All the best to the seniors and hope at least for a top 5 finish.
Looking forward to the incoming recruiting class

On the third leg of the 4x1, Morrow to me seemed to almost lose his balance and then it looked like he let up instead of running thru the exchange to Lendore.
