Good luck to the girls tomorrow! Will be pretty neat to have both programs in the sweet 16.
Likely will be Joffe's last match. Headed to USC one would assume if they offer him the job.

You beat me to it . Typical Baylor in that they took the matches off their scoreboard as soon as they were finished but still haven't shown that the Aggies took the doubles point.

What happened on Match point?

Were their fans rude to us in typical Baylol style?

I was watching online. BU was at the net, Maca lobbed it. To me, it looked like BU could have smashed it but she moved her racket out of the way, thinking long, but the ball dropped in. Game. Set. Match.

Amazing match today. BU site says that was their first home loss this season and first NCAA home loss in first 2 rounds after 21 wins.
The Baylor player at #6 played earlier at #2 doubles but it wasn't a long one as they lost 0-6. I wondered if she might have been a little more tired as Macarena did not play doubles.
One Baylor player at #3 doubles could not serve. I think she double faulted 3 times.
Our winning points at #2 and #4 both came on double faults. Their #6 player had a double fault very late in the third set.
Talked to one of our players afterward to compliment her on her ability to hit the ball before it bounced. She said Baylor likes to lob the ball and play slow so we wanted to play fast and hit it back right away. Ironic that the winning point came on a lob by Macarena that the Baylor girl passed on.
Saska was brilliant today in both her doubles and singles matches.
Rutuja was down 0-3 in the first set but came back to win that and set 2.
Baylor #1 player sometimes served underhand.
Hardly any Baylor fans there for them to be rude.
Both players at #6 went to the locker room in between sets, and they were long sets. Trainers were really working both players in the breaks with water, ice, cold towels and massages.
So very happy for the seniors that they get to close their careers in the Sweet 16.
Someone earlier wrote they heard that Mark Weaver was in trouble. No way.

Oh, and Baylor was the only top 16 seed to lose. On the men's side only #11 Okie Lite lost.

Congrats to both the men and women! I am planning on making the trip to Athens. Hope that many will follow.

The point that Weaver was perhaps leaving the job had nothing to do with lack of performance. He has actually done very well in his two years as head coach. I heard that he wanted out for personal reasons.
