The game with St. Johns is on Thursday night, December 5. If we win that game, we play the winner of Rice vs Oklahoma on Friday.

I know absolutely nothing about any of these teams except that we beat Oklahoma earlier in the season, I think in five sets. Rice beat tu in Houston just before we played them in Austin.

I was personally surprised that our regional was not matched up with Baylor or tu, given that we can get by the two games coming up.

Aggies led 15-10 in the first set. Then had a call overturned and after a little run we now trail 14-15.

Ags fend off a set point and go on to win 27-25.

That was a great win. St. Johns had just beaten #10 and #13 to win their tournament.

Really good win for the ladies tonight. They got stronger as the match went on, and as the last poster said, we totally dominated the third set.

I'll be interested in other's opinions, but I thought that St. John's serving throughout their line-up was the best I've seen all year. A number of the SJU ladies had a really hard overhand drop that would have earned them millions in the majors. It seemed like when we solved their services, we took control of the match, At the end, if we could set up our outside hitters, they had no answer.

I thought Rice looked really impressive beating OU. Except for the third set, OU contested the first two sets but sort of wilted as each set went on.

I thought the crowd was bigger than the 2085 in the box score. I think we held off 2 set points in that first set. With a few points to go in the 3rd set I would have liked to see Hans be subbed for so she could get the acclaim she deserves so much, as well as get a few more players some NCAA experience. Rice had an RPI of 14 so they may have been on the bubble to host. Need to take advantage of home court tomorrow. Rice had a good following today.

I like this team. They are quietly balanced - and I love a left handed setter with a sneaky whip.

The game ended on a really nice note and any sweep is fantastic. But... we need to start off stronger. The early parts I felt like blocking/defense was not too good. Hitters were fine but SJ's defense was holding strong. The game flipped as the sets went on. SJ fell apart in the 3rd set. I don't know anything about their team but they didn't seem to have good team chemistry which the Aggies is overflowing with.

Really wish I could go to this last game at Reed.

Interesting. My perception was that the Ags started each set strong but let St Johns back in it in the middle of the set. But our dominance kept making the Red Storm rallies end earlier with each set. Set 1 they had an opportunity to steal the set. Set 2 we put out the fire early. Set 3 we didn't let them get going.

I really wish the girl that got to serve the last point was Hailey Slocum the senior vs Allison Fields. Nothing against Allison but to sub someone into serve up 12 points just to get them should have been reserved for the senior. Either way looking at a tough match tonight against Rice. Could really use fans to get out there for a 6:30 first serve

Maybe being more consistent are the right words. We would go up early but let them back in. Very up and down on defense.

A&M raced out to a huge lead but has coughed it up. Now leading only 21-20 in the 1st set.

Ags just lost the set after taking an 11 point lead. That hurts.

Was up by 11 and 2 or 3 set points and still couldnt close it out.

Not getting much outside of anyone besides Hans. Rush struggling to get the ball down.

A&M has to win 32 points to take a very close 2nd set.

Nice comeback in set 2. This is war.
