Love to hear that!! Can't go wrong with Two Henry's and Mallard lol! Hopefully he hits the ground running on the recruiting trail and what could be an excellent 2022 class! Selling the Aggie Family as a family could pay dividends!

Aggies are recruiting Sanu Jarrow for Class of 2022. Originally from Gambia
She had a home visit from Coach Mallard a couple of week ago. Other schools in the mix at this time are Florida, Kentucky and Arizona State
She has a good range from 100m to 800m. I expect those times to drop further during her senior year.
She also tried the heptathlon previously

PB
400m 53.71
800m 2:07.78
100m 11.88
200m 24.16

It hasn't been announced nor has he made remarks but I believe he has been let go! The school posted for a sprint/hurdle coach a few weeks back and rumor had it that Hon left. I personally liked Hon and his recruiting ability, sad to see him go!

Florida added lots of transfer athletes to men and women roster. They certainly will be a force to reckon with in 2022

https://floridagators.com/news/2021/8/20/track-and-field-gators-announce-roster-additions-for-2021-22-season.aspx.

They have added two top multi athletes in Anna Hall from Georgia and Markus Ballengee from Arkansas (3rd NCAA outdoors 2021). Do they have a new Multi event coach? Why this sudden rush to go to Florida?

I am wondering if we are adding any multi event athletes to our roster. Given our success with Tyra and Lindon Victor in the past we should have a couple of multi athletes to our roster

Darn that sucks! Hopefully that doesn't affect our standing with her teammate Hali Murphy who's a 53 runner! I can see Wilson headed to Georgia! Georgia's really going to be snagging all the top sprinters from Texas

It's like WOW they really don't want to come here. Not even in the top 5. I won't be surprised if it is the same with others like Camryn Dickson.
I have always said there are a lot of international athletes that would wish to come here. Look at the progress of Charokee Young and Lamara Distin.
If they recruit international, then people would say A&M not recruiting athletes from Texas. The reality is clear that many of them don't want to come A&M.
Look at the schools the top sprinters and hurdles in Texas committed to in last 5 years. Very little considered Texas A&M.
Is it that they don't trust the coaches to develop them? Pat Henry is a mastermind and many of them don't trust his ambition to help and develop them.

Wow 2 of our biggest targets and they don't even consider us! That hurts! Hopefully other sprinters like Dickson or Christine Mallard can consider us! It wouldn't bother me if we recruit internationally and focus on the Caribbean with our recent successes! Recruiting has been improving the last 3 years, hopefully we don't have a down cycle! Would you agree that this recruiting class, along with the one we just signed are going to be very important as next year we could possibly lose, Tyra Gittens, Deborah Acquah, Syaira Richardson, Tierra Robinson-Jones, our short hurdlers, Zhane Smith. We really need to build depth on the women's sprinter side. Our men's sprinters have depth, we just need to rebuild our 400 and jumping group!

Some of you guys never cease to amaze me on how little you understand about the sport of college track and field. Do you realize that there is only a limited number of scholarships? Depending on the year and who is currently on the team, what events need to be recruited will determined who gets offers. To act like is is just CRAZY that some talented athlete doesn't have certain schools listed is just tunneled vision. Why don't some of you spend some time and actually put some thought into what you claim.

Lol we obviously understand... but most importantly we're just fans who love and support our Aggie Track teams as much as humanly possible. We're allowed to over/under react as much as we want... BECAUSE WE'RE FANS! We know the rules and guidelines on building a competitive team and you're not going to tell us when we can be disappointed or excited. Based on your depressing, childish, and immature post history, all you're good for is bashing posters who care about this track program. There's only a few true Aggie track fans and we come here to discuss the sport and team we love and we don't need you to judge what we say or feel. This thread was doing fine till you got here, so why don't you get lost and go cry about something else Karen.

I respect everything you and posters on here say... we're fans of Aggie track there's no need to bring others down for displaying support to our team! Thanks for all your contributions, we have a tight knit Aggie track supporting community here, we can't let little people bring us down! Here's to another year of cheering on our guys and girls!!!!!!

You are obviously talking to your self ! Trini and Taylor have forgotten 10 times more about T&F in general and A&M T&F specifically than you have obviously ever known !! And that certainly includes A&M T&F recruiting. Bet you aren't an Ag or even a T shirt fan. At least I certainly hope not. Just the thought makes me cringe!

I'm hoping Mpoke and/or James Smith can turn into a 44 relay guy! Hopefully James Smith is healthy and Mpoke can build off his dominance at the end of last season! Them along with transfer Chevannie Hanson, Omajuwa Etiwe, or Brandon Miller can put together a solid 4x400! We're going to need all of them close to 45.0, hopefully under! Maybe there's a surprise on the roster as well!

Trini and Taylor,

Thank you so much for all of your feedback, expertise, and passion regarding Aggie Track & Field!

As someone who loves the sport (there is nothing like hearing the crowd go "OOOOOOOHHHH" in a steady increase in volume as someone runs down another sprinter), many of us older Ags appreciate what you and others bring to TexAgs!!

Gig'em!

We have some depth in the 400m this year with newcomers Sebastien Cooper (transfer from Tennessee) and freshman Ashton Schwartzman. Both are 47 seconds guys but you never know what they can do.I always remembered when Deon Lendore arrive in Aggieland as a 47 seconds guy and immediately started winning conference titles and anchoring the relay team. Sebastien Cooper has a lot of relay experience from the Tennessee team.
Who knows we may still get another transfer for the spring semester.
I know Kyree Johnson had indicated last year he was getting back to track. Maybe he will surprise us and finish his degree.

The word is already out that football will be taking over the area where the indoor track is located. We'll tear down what is arguably the finest indoor facility in the US. Mind boggling----but true. T&F has been promised a new facility---but when-----3 years, 5 years, whatever.
Recruits are being told that A&M will not have an indoor track/training facility for however long. This is already affecting recruiting; and could continue to do so for a number of years.

This is not good news if it is true. A&M should build a new indoor facility for track before tearing down the current one.

Eh, it's a bubble with a track. I look forward to an actual building and it should be built sooner rather than later. With the master plan it should be better for the athletes with the performance center, the multipurpose fields, and all 3 tracks together. I believe there's going to be an academic facility for studying as well.

If football takes it over before there's a replacement, well, that won't be good for the track program. I think we'll be better off with the new building and all the stuff that will come with it, but I sure hope they don't kick track out before the replacement is built. We don't need to go back to the pre-Bill Byrne days where there was such a focus on football that the other sports suffered.

They should clear that up so there's not this unknown hovering over the program.

Ultimately, it will great. However it will be years before the new indoor facility is done. My point is that the loss of an indoor facility is being used against us already. Check with anyone on the T&F staff.
