Love to hear that!! Can't go wrong with Two Henry's and Mallard lol! Hopefully he hits the ground running on the recruiting trail and what could be an excellent 2022 class! Selling the Aggie Family as a family could pay dividends!

The word is already out that football will be taking over the area where the indoor track is located. We'll tear down what is arguably the finest indoor facility in the US. Mind boggling----but true. T&F has been promised a new facility---but when-----3 years, 5 years, whatever.triniaggie said:

It's like WOW they really don't want to come here. Not even in the top 5. I won't be surprised if it is the same with others like Camryn Dickson.
I have always said there are a lot of international athletes that would wish to come here. Look at the progress of Charokee Young and Lamara Distin.
If they recruit international, then people would say A&M not recruiting athletes from Texas. The reality is clear that many of them don't want to come A&M.
Look at the schools the top sprinters and hurdles in Texas committed to in last 5 years. Very little considered Texas A&M.
Is it that they don't trust the coaches to develop them? Pat Henry is a mastermind and many of them don't trust his ambition to help and develop them.
Eh, it's a bubble with a track. I look forward to an actual building and it should be built sooner rather than later. With the master plan it should be better for the athletes with the performance center, the multipurpose fields, and all 3 tracks together. I believe there's going to be an academic facility for studying as well.Sleepnumber said:The word is already out that football will be taking over the area where the indoor track is located. Recruits are being told that A&M will not have an indoor track/training facility for however long. This is already affecting recruiting; and could continue to do so for a number of years.
If football takes it over before there's a replacement, well, that won't be good for the track program. I think we'll be better off with the new building and all the stuff that will come with it, but I sure hope they don't kick track out before the replacement is built. We don't need to go back to the pre-Bill Byrne days where there was such a focus on football that the other sports suffered.TRM said:Eh, it's a bubble with a track. Ultimately, it will great. However it will be years before the new indoor facility is done. My point is that the loss of an indoor facility is being used against us already. Check with anyone on the T&F staff.TRM said:Eh, it's a bubble with a track. I look forward to an actual building and it should be built sooner rather than later. Used against us? Explain...? You guys really think you know more about or have forgotten more than I know about Aggie track. I appreciate your enthusiasm about the track team but you guys really come up with a lot of crap that simply is not true.
