Just checked the forecast, looks cool but dry, much better than last year....

Definitely some concerns, healthwise or other, for our teams heading into SEC's and regionals. McCray I don't believe has run in weeks, not sure what's going on with our hurdler Scott and Carter didn't clear a height in Lubbock last night. Also Nissi seems to be a question mark in the high jump and 400 hurdles for the women. There are still some positive elite performances happening week to week but to compete for a natty, we've got to have everybody healthy and competing at a high level in May and June. It just seems like many of our top performances were early in the season. Anybody closer to the team have any insights?

That is good news! Thanks for the update. I was thinking all of our runners were at the Penn Relays this weekend.

i would have thought that her Nike contract would require her to compete a certain number of times. They are paying her to represent the brand and she can't represent it if she's not competing. Anyway, I hope she's ok and not racing is just a precaution.

How many meets did you miss during your college career? Not when you were injured, just for a break or a rest.

I was right there with you and wanted someone with authority to put this out there. We worked our butts off every week.

For those that didn't follow the saga, Athing Mu was set to run last week at the LA Grand Prix, she then pulled out Wednesday, Thursday she was back on the starting list and on the cover of the race's website, she then pulls out again! She is set to run this weekend at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene Oregon and is once again one of the "key performers" but as of last night she's pulled out of the race again! She has not raced once in 2024. There are rumors that tensions are rising between her and her coach Bobby Kersee… don't think she'll race again before the Olympic trials if you read message boards and social media, US track fans and even global track fans are all turning against her, they're saying she's a horrible rep for the sport, they're accusing her of doping, they're actively rooting against her now! After her time here and in Tokyo, she was American track's sweetheart and the face of the sport! Now she's lost so many fans

Why would he be holding her out? I don't follow professional track enough to know the back story here, some of the McLaughlin parallels, etc

Just three reasons I can think of.

Injured. Does not look like that one.

Doping. Hope it's not that one.

Money. I assume they get paid to go to these meets. So they are asking for more.

I'm not buying this article… she pulls out of 3 different meets this year, then when the backlash is heavy, out of nowhere she has a hamstring issue!!!

Wanna see what people are thinking of Mu, give this let's run thread a few more hours and there will be hundreds and hundreds of posts talking about how Mu is bad for the sport

If you saw interviews of her after losing the world championships, it was easy to tell her love for the sport has declined, she literally said "I'm happy this is over so I can go on vacation" she's raced in 4 meets the last 21 months…

Was hoping that Arizona hs record holder in the intermediate hurdles (Vance Nilsson) would become an Aggie, but not to be! He has signed to become a Florida Gator instead. AAAHHHH!!

Well the AIU has ruled that Issam Asinga is banned for 4 years. The Gatorade product he took was claimed to be the culprit for his failed drug test. Athletics Integrity Unit did not rule in his favor. Looks like Gatorade/Pespsico corporate lawyers were too much to overcome. He says he will appeal the decision but i doubt he can fight it. Terrible news for him and A&M track team.

I wonder if that is 4 years starting now, or will they count not running this year as 1 with 3 more to go...

i'd think the year he's sat out would count towards the 4 yr ban
