Looks likes she's now up 4-2 in the third set.

How often has Carson played on grass? She is doing well, regardless of how often or not she has done so.

Gosh, after losing that heartbreaker tiebreaker 7-1 the other day and coming back to win she loses the first set this morning, wins a close tiebreaker today to take the second set and then dominates in the third set - really impressive !!!

The draw is announced tomorrow (Friday). So, we will know her opponent and start time soon.

And you are correct. The 1st round is played on Monday and Tuesday so she will play her first match on one of those days.

Any idea how seeding works? Carson is currently 197 in the world and most the other qualifiers are in the 90 - 150 range so makes sense that she'd get a worse draw. The one exception is Kaja Juvan who is 242 and didn't even draw a seed in the first round....Kaja drew the 117th rank player.

I love the family rivalry; despite the age gap. Freddie makes it to the majors, so Carson wins two junior majors (doubles). Freedie wins a golden glove and a world series, so after injuries Carson wins a Natty. Freddie follows up with a World Series MVP, so Carson makes it to Wimbledon and so on.

Hopefully Freddie at least hits a grand slam or something this weekend against the Royals.

Blind draw for the qualifiers I believe. Not based on rankings.
