I've been a Daria doubter for years. Never seemed to develop the way we thought she would since freshman year.

I'd give the MVP nod to Lu for obvious reasons, but so happy for Daria and the entire team.

Two things on #3.

1) We are not here if Ilinca doesn't dominate UNC. So glad she joined our team.

2) Jordan should have played Okutoyi higher in the lineup. She was automatic all year. Wouldn't have mattered tonight but still a head scratcher. So glad she is a senior and out of here.

Im still in amazement!! Hearing Nicole sitting out this year at the beginning of the season I had doubts. This was too eery from 2 yrs ago. 1st. Carson comes back towards the end of the season similar to Ilinca joining late season. 2nd. Before the 1st championship run I met Mark at a Tropical Smoothie in Stillwater as he walked in alone and met for the 1st time. Today while at Panera Bread he walked in alone and he remembers me from 2 yrs ago so we chatted again. 3rd. We beat UNC and GA. 4th. The rain delay......And here we are as National Champs again!

My interaction with Trev tonight as he walked onto Court 6 to celebrate with the team and staff. For the record, I was about 6 High Noons and 3 Classic City Lites deep.

Trev: You think I don't want it? Are you ready to contribute for it?

texas2006aggie: I'll be the first one to chip in. We can also host the Savannah Bananas a few more times.

I was thinking dubs tonight with Lu as well. Not to mention the gutsiest performance I've ever seen in college tennis against Lopata.

But V is an absolute warrior.

We were two points from losing against UNC.

We were two points from losing against UGA.

Both times that was against V.

She refused to lose.

Seeing her wear Bowers out after 100 hours on court is something that will always stick with me.

All heart. Only one year but an A&M legend.

Refaat beat her easily last they played.

Lex started slowly and got down early.

Then she decided she'd knock the cover off the ball and not miss. She took the racquet of of Refaat's hand.

Just beautiful ball striking. When she's on, I get jealous of how cleanly she strikes the ball.

Doubles too. She was cracking the ball.

I thought she'd have a good night and wow she delivered.

My last post for the night. I think my adrenaline may finally be down enough to allow for some sleep.

We weren't supposed to win this. We had tired legs. We had "no chance"'in doubles. We were outmatched everywhere outside of court 1 singles.

Didn't matter.

This team won on heart. Exceeded every expectation.

Heart > talent.

Agreed on MVP for Lu. Her "vamos" calls must be so inspiring to her teammates.

No problem giving it to Vi. Didn't she play at 1/2 at her previous school?

Ilinca did well all year at 3 (when she was playing). Perfectly positioned and allowed everyone else to slide down a line.

Curious about another player, but I'll refrain from that discussion until our celebratory mood wears off. Can't wait to see what experienced talent we bring in next year!
