As I’ve reported, #Leafs are seeking another Top 10 pick in 2026 #NHLDraft.

Sources say Toronto and Dallas had talks about Stars potentially flipping No. 7 overall from #SeaKraken in a deal for Matthew Knies to help replace Jason Robertson.
All part of Thursday’s shrapnel.
Wow. Jason Robertson turns down $15 million from Seattle. Stars were lining up a trade that included Seattle’s first-round pick tomorrow.

So, we know they are open to trading Robertson. But, this does also tell us it’s likely not all about the biggest payday for Robertson. https://t.co/MwzAisRo8D
Told this morning it’s hard to predict if Robertson moves today or not, so many moving parts right now in all the conversations Dallas has going on him. ICYMI from last night ⤵️ https://t.co/4CB3YNeWWI

I am very surprised nothing has been agreed to yet. For the Stars you absolutely, positively do not want to go into todays draft having done nothing. Heck it's been reported that their plan has been to try to obtain a top 10 pick so they can then flip it for Knies, which isn't a bad strategy. Clock is absolutely ticking here. If they can't figure something out by draft time I think it's a pretty big L for the Stars.

You're 100% right. It's not a failure on the Stars part necessarily and I won't blame them, but it will still suck and be an L.
Elliotte Friedman says Dallas is not only still actively trying to trade Jason Robertson (potentially without a contract), but is also expected to aggressively pursue Zach Werenski from Columbus.

We have issued qualifying offers for Mavrik Bourque, Arttu Hyry, and Jason Robertson, thus retaining their negotiating rights.
