Bowing out early last year at home probably did not help our seeding this year either. Like someone said earlier, the NCAA does not have an official ranking system but the four main ranking sources have us at 10, 13, 13, and 18. Winning the weak Big XII does not mean that much to the NCAA either. An overall 16 seed paired up with the 1 seed is very appropriate. This will give the girls a great chance to prove themselves.
Edit: Also remember that all 3 losses and both ties came against unranked opponents. Just trying to show that we didn't really get hosed as bad as some of you are saying.
