Just a reminder if reporting is correct, but re: lawyering up/family attorney, I believe he is a real estate attorney that did the sale of their New York home... at least that is what a couple of articles I read said. So it is not like these people are brilliant.

News just said have not updated him above "person of interest" due to lack of evidence so far. That can obviously change though as the rest of the autopsy results are confirmed.

Are his parents supposed to tell the police every time he goes camping? Cause that's all they're guilty of at the moment… keep in mind his movement was not restricted by LE (that I know of). He was free to go wherever he wanted

Suicide doesn't make sense. He would go to efforts to hide his corpse? The point being? If you were so distraught about killing her or just the prospect of being caught you wouldn't be thinking about extra efforts to hide yourself after. Killing yourself is the escape.

Maybe parents would hide him ashamed of the suicide?

Or maybe finding a simple body laying somewhere there is harder than it seems.

Also this guy's hasn't exhibited a pattern of thinking things through.

He's a creepy soy boy who lived in a ****ty-ass van for 4+ months. Not sure I'm capable of getting inside his head, but i wouldn't be surprised if nature boy just wanted to die and disappear forever
