Right. But not much later.
We typically decorate about a week before Christmas. When the kids were little, we decorated on Christmas Eve. It's Advent up until that date, you know, not Christmas.
Christmas season starts at sunset on Christmas Eve, so it is actually the most proper time to decorate.Brian Earl Spilner said:fc2112 said:MooreTrucker said:

Decorating on Christmas Eve is also dumb.

Nativity scenes go up December 9 or earlier. Baby is placed on Christmas Eve.
First I forbid my wife to put up anything Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. Secondly we in the Orthodox Faith started our Advent on November 15th and will break our fast on Christmas Day.Athanasius said:
We're still in Ordinary Time. Right now the readings are focusing on the Last Things. Don't get ahead of yourself. There is a time for all things.
Advent, when we start the preparation to celebrate Christ's birth, starts on December 1.
