I've been told that we may need a new artificial tree. We typically have a real one and a fake one but the fake one is old.

I'm also told that Balsam Hill makes high quality trees (expensive)

Our trees are up and indoor decorations are out, but haven't done outside lights, etc. yet.

Christmas has 12 days. Dec 25 until Jan 5.

But I decorate early for the season. I do not dismantle until the 5th of January.

We typically go shopping for a tree the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and put it up on the Friday after.

Noble fir 10' - 14'.

Put both of our trees up this past weekend. Normally wait until the day after Thanksgiving but we were snowed in and all of our events were cancelled. Tis the season to be merry!

We take down our decorations by NYE because according to my wife's family it's bad luck to leave them up past New Year's Day!

Edit: But let me add she is a freaking Saint. One of the best people that have walked this Earth, wants for nothing, ultra low maintenance, and constantly giving of herself for the kids, me, and friends. So the least I can do. Definitely first world problems.


Sounds to me like she wanted 5 more trees than necessary.

I have a neighbor that hires a company to set up Christmas trees and outdoor lights. Rumor has it she spends $3,000.00 every year on this.
