My range is in a peninsula between the kitchen and dining room. I turn all the burners on high and use a shop fan to pull the heat off and blow it toward the air return. I can raise the temperature in my house 8-10 degrees in about 30 minutes. Since my house is old and mostly uninsulated, this is the difference between paying a $40 gas bill and a $400 electric bill.deer corn said:Ryan the Temp said:
I keep my heater set between 60 and 65, depending on the time of day. Y'all would flip out if I told you how I normally heat my house when it's really cold inside.
Indoor chiminea?
I expect to replace my entire HVAC system in 4-5 years and I will be adding a gas line to the attic to have a gas furnace installed.
