The most famous sequence was dangerously realistic: A car chase in which Det. Doyle speeds under elevated subway tracks, his brown Pontiac (driven by a stuntman) screeching into areas that the filmmakers had not received permits for. When Doyle crashes into a white Ford, it wasn't a stuntman driving the other car, but a New York City resident who didn't know a movie was being made.

Like they both drank kool-aid and the dog starved? Or it was a murder-suicide?Texas A&M said:
The NYT is saying that no carbon monoxide leaks were found, so I wonder if it was suicide.
That would probably fall under the definition of foul play. Could have been something as simple as the Flu. It takes down nonagenerians all the time.Martin Q. Blank said:Like they both drank kool-aid and the dog starved? Or it was a murder-suicide?Texas A&M said:

At least we can rule the ducks out.
I saw one article that said the front door was ajar so any CO could have been cycled out of the house by then.Texas A&M said:

I was wondering if the wife had a heart attack and died from it. But Gene wasn't able to care for himself or even use a phone.

Fox also said there was a "descendant" living in another room of the house.Burdizzo said:
Fox News story is saying the sheriff's dept visited the house but didn't say why. Assume it was a wellness check. The front door was open. She was dead on the floor in a bathroom. It didn't say where is body was found. There were signs they had been dead for "some time" (facial bloat and mummified hands) but not how long . One dog was also dead, but there were also two dogs alive on the property. There were open prescription bottles, but did not say what the script was. Gas company and fire department scanned for gas leaks or CO and didn't not find any signs.
Yeah, this is a really peculiar story, moreso than I understood this morning
