No work today. Home with the family. Need to pick some citrus, and help the bride get ready.

Church tonight, Polar Express and tamales after church, then SC.

Dog walked, breakfast consumed. One call this morning, then gym. Pick up tamales at lunch. Yard work, or maybe actual work this afternoon.

Nice warm day today (70) and about the same tomorrow here in the deep South( east Alabama/west Georgia).

A good day starts with good coffee.

Make it a good one in spite of what the rest of humanity is up to.

-I hope y'all get to spend time with the ones you love, or without the ones you hate, or minimal contact. Whatever makes you happy, so long as a dog is there.
-Thinking of the ones who protect us today: Troops, First Responders, and Waffle House staff.

Slept in again.

Help my sister with preparations for our Christmas eve festivities.

Had our first 60 degree day of December yesterday and are promised our first 70 degree day today. Between that and the fact that there's nothing under the tree (Benny wanted one big present, which he got last month), it doesn't feel terribly Christmasy.

Should be a slow day at work (knock on wood) and then I'm done for the week.

More bad bowl games today. Yesterday I saw a kid from Toledo cramp up in the 78F "heat" of Boca Raton, FL. Had probably been a while since he'd played in conditions that warm.

And my paternal grandparents always gave me a pecan log on Christmas Day. I haven't had one since my grandmother died in 2004. I find myself missing them today. They were married from March 1934 to September 2004. Two of my favorite people to ever walk this earth.

• Slept great. Which was SO needed.
• Excited I got my new birkenstocks from mom yesterday.
• Been working the past hour. While I have a few things I *could* be doing, for the most part, I am caught up until I get back on 12/30 besides deposit 2 cruises.
• May run the roads in a little bit for awhile. I'm mostly done but want to run back to HEB.
• LAUNDRY AND PACK. Weather is low 70's in Knoxville/Gatlinburg for 25th-28th, which is fantastic. Much colder on the 29th with possibly some rain, which is okay. Will be cold on the 30th when we fly home.
• Early dinner at my momma's.
• Candlelight service at 7PM
