Saw it tonight with my wife -- seriously one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.

For the record, the OP is OLD Jock 1997, not to be confused with OL Jock 99. The lack of a "D" and the class year is VERY important in this instance.

Judd Apatow, Paul Feig, Kristen Wiig, Ellie Kemper, Rose Byrne- so much awesomeness in one place. Shocks me that I'm saying that about an all-female led comedy. Seen nothing but love for this one- can't wait to catch it later this wknd.

Very funny, but thirty minutes too long. Too many times I was wishing for a fast forward button. But still hilarious in the good parts.

I saw the free screening they had here a few weeks ago. The movie is awesome. But I think the commercials make it look terrible. Pay no attention to the commercials for this movie!

Haters can hate, OJ99 and OO, but this movie is hilarious. I don't fully disagree that a couple of parts drug on a little longer than needed, but that can be said about almost every movie starring SNL actors/actresses -- it's a trait they learn through SNL. I was very, very pleasantly surprised.

We saw it last night too. I'm usually pretty sceptical about comedies.

I walked out trying to think of the movies that I've laughed harder at while in the theater. I had trouble coming up with any at which I laughed more/harder. Several where I laughed just as much, but couldn't come up with any that were funnier.

Thought it was GREAT!!!

We saw it yesterday, and both loved it. The scenes in the dress shop were particularly hilarious!

It's an Apatow movie. I don't think a single movie he's been involved in wouldn't have been improved with a 20-30 minute trim. He lets his people do their thing, then ends up keeping all of it in the film.

Is there nudity in the movie? I was thinking of taking my wife and sister to see it, but will pass for now if there is any.

I'm genuinly curious. The guys who like this movie, what tv shows do you find funny? I have a feeling its people that like stuff like two and a half men and the other lame network comedies.

I could be wrong, but this movie looks absolutely horrible, and looks like a chick flick.

Paul Feig, the director, is an exec producer on The Office and directed a ton of their eps- notably some of the darker ones like "The Dinner Party". He's also directed some Parks & Recreation and 30 Rock. And the big prize is that he directed a batch of eps of Arrested Development.

This is a Judd Apatow (The 40 YO Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Pineapple Express) shepherded comedy with all his people on board.

You couldn't be farther from the 2.5 Men sphere of comedy.

i realize who is involved, but that doesn't automatically make it good.

Screw it, taking the wife to see this. I love watching movies while she never wants to go. Last comedy she liked that I watched was I Love You, Man and Hangover..this should be in that category.

I don't watch regular tv shows, and have never been a fan of sitcoms. Many years ago, I watched All In The Family, Aly McBeal Las Vegas and Boston Legal. Those have been about the only ones. About all I watch now are sports and, occasionally, a movie that I'm interested in. As far as a show where the producers think they have to tell me when to laugh, forget it. In Bridesmaids, nobody had to tell me when to laugh. It was kind of a female version of The Hangover. Yes, there were lots of females in the theater. But, there were also a bunch of guys laughing their asses off.

Just saw Bridesmaids. Funniest movie I have seen in a long while. Very well written and acted. No complaints here.

AggieOO, I'm a fan of the NBC Thursday night lineup (except Outsourced) and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It had a bit of chick movie schtick, but seriously funny.

Hilarious movie. The fondue fountain scene had me nearly crying.

On par with The Hangover. The dress fitting scene may have been the hardest I've ever laughed in a theatre.

Pretty damn funny. I didnt expect much but that was one hell of a funny movie. I'd go see it again

Seriously? You haven't seen this movie and you're making assumptions that guys who like it must like terrible sitcoms just based from the previews you've seen? I'm a guy, the movie was funny as hell, and two and half men sucks balls. So I guess there goes that theory.

Tennerman, that's exactly why I'm ignorning OO. It's a hilarious movie, as evidenced by all of the posts here, and I suspect most who see it (unless they are deeply offended by Apatow- and Phillips-like crude humor and strong language) will really like it.

I give it a 9...very funny movie! Saw it last night and the only thing I would say is that it's a bit too long.
