Breaking Bad is about character development, not cheap tricks. No way is Gomez dirty. Name me one "SURPRISE!!!!" they've done on this show.

Gomez seems untrustworthy but I don't know who he'd be working for. Cartel is the most guessed, but it got wiped out by Gus and it seems unlikely a brand new faction will be introduced this late. Perhaps Saul or Gray Matter? Maybe Gomez is working on his own to take Hank out so he can get promoted.

On another note two things this episode didn't cover that bothered me: What was Hank doing at Walt's place? What did Hank tell Gomez to get him involved?

Ag of NVA - Hank was at Walt's because he followed Jesse from Saul's office. That is why he left the DEA office in a hurry when he pulled Gomey's guys off of following Jesse.

I'm with you though - I would've loved to see Hank explain his recent Heisenberg discovery to Gomey.

They did explain why Hank was at Walts house. Jesse asked if he was following him and hank said yes, since he was at sauls office. Remember last episode hank told Gomez to take the guys off tailing Jesse and then left the office for the day. I think we are supposed to put together that he took the guys off Jesse because he decided he was going to go tail him himself.

That makes sense. Totally missed that connection. I thought Hank pulled Gomez's men because he wanted to keep the whole thing private from Gomez. That's why Gomez's involvement this week seemed confusing.

I'm thinking that Walt took Saul's advice and bought a bug detector and Jesse suspects it. Jesse heard Saul tell him that in their meeting in the desert, explaining why he was so hesitant in approaching him in the plaza.

Hank unzipped his pants by bringing in Gomie. The DEA is about to get involved and side against Hank because of how strange he's acted for the last year, beginning with him mysteriously knowing where to catch and kill Tuco Salamanca, and then luckily surviving the Tortuga bomb blast in El Paso.

The most damning evidence, as it stands, is how Hank's rehab bills were paid.

I can't believe there are only 4 episodes left. LOTS of ways to go with the current scenario.

A few fascinating unknowns to me at this point are:

1) Jesse's quote about getting Walt "where he really lives". (I tend to think it's more about his money/meth somehow and not a threat against his family.)

2) Who does Walt have in mind when he goes back later to get the ricin? (from the flashforward of the first episode of 5B) Jessie? Hank? Someone else? Or maybe even...himself??? A couple of really interesting points on the ricin in the comments at this link http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/26/breaking-bad-ricin-mashup_n_3819030.html...potential spoilers, so beware!

3) Who lives and who dies. Sadly, I just don't see Jesse making it to the end, but I don't think it will be as easy as Todd's uncle's gang getting him. He's too important of a character to just be taken out like that. I think he probably dies at the hands of Walt, or takes his own life...and I think there will not be a dry eye among any who watch that episode.

I love how this show has completely put me on edge. When Hank and Gomey were talking to Jessie at the Schrader home, my mind went off the deep end and totally grew suspicious of Hank when he

a) realized how important Jesse is to Walt, and
b) when he insisted that Jessie sit in front of the camcorder to document his entire confession.

The crazy part of me wanted Hank to break bad and kill Jesse, framing Walt for the murder to juxtapose the DVD from last episode. That would have been plenty of reason for Walt to call Mr. Vacuum and vacation in NH.

Edit for spelling/formatting

I wonder if Hank came clean to Gomie and showed him the video Walt made. Gomie is acting like he might suspect Hank is up to something.

Jesse was hesitant because he thought that big bald dude standing somewhat near Walt was going to kill him.

With Jesse jumping over, Hank finally had the corroboration he needed to bring Gomey into the circle of trust. No way is Gomey dirty. That would be the cheapest of plot twists and BB won't go there.

Jesse "hitting him where he lives" has to mean the family - or at least his taking care of them ($). I don't see Jesse's plan being an outright targeting of them though (for starters, Hank would nip it immediately), but moreso giving the Walt the perception that may happen.

One of the things I like about how it's being written is they still don't make Hank the white knight - didn't have a second thought about putting Jesse's life at risk and would have been overjoyed with getting Walt murdering Jesse on tape. One track mind to avenge being made a fool.

So this might be a dumb question/dumb detail? But how are Walt's phone calls coming through to Jesse on the hello kitty phone? I thought Saul just gave him that one when he went to see the vacuum guy. I guess did Saul give Walt the number at some point? Also, I think it's a different phone in confessions than the one they show in rabid dog.

WorthAg, I realize that's the obvious reason. The bug detector just came to mind when Hank and Gomey were strapping that device to him, and barely an episode had gone by since Walt had been advised to buy the detector.

Just my thoughts.

I agree that Gomey was acting weird during that whole sequence. Could just be because he's pretty shaken up.

I think Jesse is going after Walt's money or going to do something with their old Meth operation.

I think the name of next weeks episode is a clue..

I think Jesse is going to take out jr. I can't imagine the writers leaving jr alive to live with all the lies Walt is telling him. Seems cruel to let him live.

The poster who mentioned the writers showing Hank in a more negative light during this episode is correct. That's what I like about this show. No characters are completely good, and none are completely bad. Just when you really start siding with a character and start to root for him, they pull the rug out from under you by making that character disappoint you. Hank WANTED Walt to murder Jesse. It's as if he was trying to facilitate it.

Also, I think Hank told Gomez everything about his suspicions, all the evidence he has, and even showed him the video. But I think Gomez is skeptical, and is at least considering the idea that Hank, Walt, & Jesse were are all partners and there was a breakup with Walt branching out on his own or something. I bet he thinks that Hank & Jesse are working together by bringing in Gomez to combat the video if it's ever released.

How many months are left in the storyline for the last 4 episodes? Seems like a lot of s*%t is going to go down quickly to close this all out.

8 months or so, right? I think they'll end up skipping time to get to his 52nd bday.

I think we see an attack on the Whites and Walt calls Saul's guy to have his entire family (whoever is left) moved up North.

Then something brings him back, so I wonder if maybe Hank or Jesse is in trouble.

Some of these questions have to be from people who are just jumping onto the bandwagon in the final episode.

There is still a lot that has to happen before the finale. So many loose ends to be resolved, and each week less and less time to do it. I keep thinking there has to be an episode that is just complete SHTF nonstop, to get us in position for the finale.
