Come on guys, what will it take for this show to finally earn your trust? They're not going to pull some cliched crap like what we're predicting. They're doing those things BECAUSE we've seen them so many times that we think we know what to expect. What actually happens won't be predictable.

I'm not saying don't trash the show if it deserves it, but come on...surely Breaking Bad has earned enough goodwill to at least wait until next week's episode before we trash the ending of this week's episode!

I could see how a bunch of rednecks who aren't trained to shoot weapons could miss two guys from this distance. The whole shootout we saw took place in the span of what, 2 seconds, real time?
The same rednecks took out Declan's entire crew in about 2 seconds, and organized the killing like 10 inmates in 2 minutes.

Taking out Declan's crew was done at close range and organizing jail hits doesn't mean they're good shots.

-Was it established that Hank and Gomez didn't have their DEA badges with them? If not do we assume they didn't have them or do we assume they didn't want to risk drawing down?

-Did Hank go through the proper channels to obtain the evidence so that it would hold up in court? If the nazis don't show up could Walt have outmaneuvered Hank on legal technicalities? But either way the money is gone.

This episode was the best episode in my opinion. But this is one of two flaws I saw (the other being Todd's poor shooting compared to earlier in the show).

What exactly is Hank arresting Walt for? He has no probable cause to make an arrest for anything other than running red lights and speeding/reckless driving (assuming those are arrestable offenses in New Mexico). I know Walt admitted to killing people on the phone but Hank would need a warrant to arrest him on any of those charges. They still don't have any real proof either. Still no money.

Also, the neo Nazis have no idea if Hank and Gomie are DEA or any other form of police. They weren't wearing their badges or any other insignia visible that I can remember. And Hank knew Walt knew who the neo Nazis are. Walt was screaming their names and telling them to stop while handcuffed in the suburban.

When next episode starts I am predicting Hank and Gomie die. Jesse takes off in Walt's car. They won't catch him in the car. The neo Nazis have no idea why Walt is out in the desert. They aren't getting Walt's money...at least not yet given the information we have.

That confession isn't enough with Jesse as a witness?

Not without a warrant

ETA-I'm going on Texas law and assuming New Mexico law mirror Texas' laws when arresting without a warrant. Most of which is going to be very similar.

The fact that they were doing all this under the DEA radar played a big part in them being stranded in the desert with no back up. I don't know the legalities on whether he could've arrested him but Hank's desicion to keep it from the rest of the office has come back to bite him.

Hank's money is still hidden. They never had a chance to find it. It's still in play up to this point.

I very much enjoyed Todd just popping off rounds at the end.

The drive and conversation from the carwash to the desert was 100% pure adrenaline. Fantastic!!!!

Fortunately, after next episode, this confusion will stop. /facepalm

Agreed. But that makes the arrest illegal and everything learned afterwards is thrown out at this point since the arrest was not done legally(i.e see case law regarding fruit of the poisonous tree ruling from the Supreme Court). I can't imagine Hank making that big of a mistake.

Walt isn't going to last that long. He'll die of cancer while the lawyers argue. That's what Hank is banking on.

They could surely arrest Walt without a warrant for possession of a handgun with the serial number filed off.

But more importantly, why did Jack bring so many guys and guns to what they thought was a hit on Jesse? Perhaps that's not what they were coming to after all. It may have been in the beginning but it changed. Changed to a rescue mission to get Walt? maybe, and that would explain all of that subpar shooting. It's intentional, just trying to get Walt out of there.

what about the guys left behind at Andrea's house? they weren't at the desert shooting scene. could be they're now going to take Andrea and Brock hostage to get Jesse, after he escapes through the desert.

we have at least seen some good demonstrations of relationships irrevocably damaged. marie and skyler for one (the confession video I think was the final straw on that), and Jesse and walt for another - walt calling him a coward and jesse spitting in his face. also, skyler seems to have checked out mentally.

so what does walt have left? Jr., Holly, and the money. walt's relationship with jr is going to fracture too when jr finds out, and holly will only know her dad as the drug dealer.

it's like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

They knew there were 3 guys in the car when Walt was giving them the coordinates.

Loved the episode. Tons of tension. I have never been so nervous watching tv when Hank was on the phone with Marie. You knew it was about to get crazy. Can't wait for Sunday.

Also, alot of you sound like a blast to hang out with... How about we enjoy the last few episodes of a great show instead of over analyzing every single thing?

Ehh, I've followed along with the last 2 season threads. Analyzing the show and coming up with your take on how it ends is all fun, we all do it. It's the dumping on the writers and creators of the show I don't enjoy reading.

Anyway, I personally believe both Gomez and Hank will die in the desert. It will be terrible seeing Skyler, Jr and especially Marie's reaction to this. Just brutal.

If Hank dies, Skyler will check out. She either kills herself, leaves Walt and takes the kids, or turns herself in.

Then dying in the desert is the only plausible story arc. And the neo nazis have the 2 best cooks in the world.

It ends with WALT not Hank rescuing Jesse, and thats what the gun if for at the end.

Not a spoiler, but a prediction.

Edited because I am a moron.

On another note, did anyone else notice that one of the customers at the car wash was Busy Philipps, the blonde from "Freaks and Geeks"?

Did you not notice how fast Walt got to the location? Maybe 5 minutes, I think the entire call with Jessie was aired in real time. Granted, he was hauling balls to get there, but I'm sure the Nazis weren't exactly out for a Sunday drive either.

Drew Sharp wasn't shooting back at Todd. Makes the shot a bit easier. We didn't seen how they took out the Declan crew. Maybe they rolled up by surprise and mowed then down.

Gomie took Walt's keys when he patted him down. Did he leave them in the car when he was gonna leave with Jesse?
