No. Jesse broke down because he suspected and nearly shot Walt when the poison was in his robot the whole time. It had been a week or so since he checked. Maybe he just missed it. Regardless, he was careless and nearly killed Walt because of it. With all the other stress, that's a real mind **** for the young man.

Thus, Walt is Pure Unadulterated Evil.

Right. Presumably, sometime during the last week the robot would've hit a spot that it hadn't hit recently. That's when it picked up the ricin cigarette. At least that's what Walt has Jesse believing.

At that point it seemed Jesse would just be relieved to find it without much question as to how it got there. Hell, they were looking inside couch cushions.

Walt taping the ricin behind the electrical socket is pretty blatant foreshadowing. Is Walt going to poison Skylar or Jr or both?

Totally Disagree. These writers manage to get so much to us with so little. I'm echoing the thoughts of others, so I'll be brief...

1) Loved the opening scene. You had to think that sooner or later the paper trail would lead back to the giant Germany conglomerate basically 'giving' Pollos Hermanos these state of the art Air purifying systems

2) Walt managed to hide the fake ricin back in Jesse's Roomba. He is building his trust back up with Jesse, we're back to cookin buddies!

3) Sad to see Hank's Boss (his name fails me) go. He was a fitting guy for the role. Liked his small monologue about Gus dining with him and his family. Pretty poignant talk he gave there. Fun to watch Hank stir in his seat

4) I assumed Lydia(?) was part of the German conglomerate based on her drink/food selection in the dinner. Some high ranking official (chemist perhaps?) that has access to more meth

5) Loved the arc with Mike going on. He needs the money now that it's 'frozen'. We're cookin buddies again!


I'll have to rewatch Walk getting into bed with Skylar. I couldn't really make out what he was saying when he was about to penetrate her..

Walt originally had a 3 month, $3mil contract with Gus. That was later extended to a year at $15 mil during season 3. But that was split evenly with his partner, Jesse. We know this is right because during the "I am the one who knocks" speech, he tells Skyler he makes over $7mil/yr.

Walt probably only worked about 4-5 months with Gus. So Gus paid out the original $3mil plus another $1.25-$2.5mil. That's a total of about $4.25-$5.5mil. Walt's half would be +/- $2.5 million.

~$750k in taxes at 30% (after the money is laundered it gets taxed)
~$250k to Saul for laundry fees (5%)
+$625k to Ted
+$800k for the car wash
+$XXX for Walt's medical bills
+$XXX for Hank's physical therapy

Those first three items alone are about enough to wipe out $2.5mil. Throw in a bunch of odds and ends like the Dodge Charger that Walt blew up and the $80k paid to the guy in season 2--"Jimmy In-n-Out"--who goes to jail as a Heisenberg decoy.

All of that could easily outstrip the ~$2.5mil or so Walt probably has earned.

I did agree with Saul that they should walk away and count their lucky stars.

Walt is broke, but has a large cash-producing asset. His arrogance got the best of him again. Jesse should have a boatload of cash and is alive. However, he finally has some self worth and is respected by others and he respects what he does.

Also it doesnt make for good tv to walk away.

If we're getting into a discussion of convenience for the sake of plot, it's awfully convenient to the plot for a high school chemistry teacher to have health insurance that doesn't cover cancer. As if any teacher's union in this country would stand for that for five seconds. Once you suspend disbelief on that score, the rest is pretty easy. Just sayin'.

His insurance did cover cancer treatment, just not the top oncologist that they went with.

I really hope any cop would take a picture out of its frame and look at the back. Not uncommon for people to hide things behind pictures in frames, or to write the names and date of the picture on the back. The magnet breaking the frame was a nice reveal to the audience, but I'm hoping cops would have found it out as soon as forensics got their hands on the evidence.

At that point it had just been checked into evidence. It had not been investigated yet....at least that's the way I took it.

I love the show, enjoy reading TexAgs comments on it, and never post,...but, I had to run a hunch by you all. Lydia, the girl that met Mike at the diner and tried to have him and his crew killed, could she be the daughter of Gus' old friend, who was killed by Hector Salamanca by the pool in Mexico? Just occurred to me that she'd be about the right age, and it would be appropriate for Gus to take care of her and mentor her and set her up in business, since he was so close to his friend (forgot his name) and likely got him killed. It would also give writers a reason to have Gustavo Fring (Wonderful Actor) appear this season in some flashback scenes.

Just an idea, so you all now tell me I'm full of crap.
