So, why does the chick have to be anyone other than his inside 'man' at Madrigal? There could be a million scenarios where they met and became buisness partners of sorts. Seems like everyone is trying too hard to make a connection.

I thought that was just a display of "machismo" by the cartel members, mostly Hector.

I guess I just don't get it because I don't see what it would add to the plot, and you have to make up backstories (lies, bisexual, etc.) in your own mind to make it fit with what Gus said about his own family.

I read where Giancarlo said he struggled with switching gears for that scene. Playing Gus as weak, intimidated, apologetic, and ineffectual was a challenge. Maybe the contrast was so stark against what we'd thought of Gus that it's caused all of these "gay" ideas.

Think about this hypothetical. What if we tuned into the story seeing Walt as he is right now, and that's all we'd ever known of him. Then, after hours of seeing hardened Walt, we flashed back to a scene where "Season 1 Walt" helplessly watches some thugs kill Jesse (or worse yet Gale). When a soft, bullied Walt weeps over the death of his "partner," I bet a lot of folks would start jumping to conclusions regarding Walt's sexuality too.

I'd also vote that Gus was gay, but it doesn't really matter. Many gay men, especially in a macho-themed line of work have been known to have "beards"

But probably had 24 episodes, three times what this season will have. I bet this bad boy reaches a third of that easily.

As for the gay angle (sorry to continue with the thread derail), I never once made that connection or thought while watching those episodes, before reading Texags. Those flashbacks to the pool are my favorite scenes in the entire series and have watched them multiple times and never got that vibe.

There is literally ZERO evidence that suggests that Gus was gay. Not sure why a lot of you inferred that from the show.

S3E11 Abiquiu. Walt walks into Gus' house. Next to the grown ups formal dining table is a small plastic looking kid's table and a vroooooom! toy car. Gus says he's making a Chilean dish that he doesn't get to make often. "Kids don't eat it." There's a pause there. I can't imagine many kids want to eat fish stew regardless if it has a fancy Chilean name.

No mention of a wife. I don't have kids, but have some of the nephew's legos upstairs.

Can we go back to arguing about whether or not Mike was gonna shoot Jesse?

Gus told Hank that he "casually" knew Gale/Gayle from giving him the scholarship and just happened to visit his apartment for "dinner".

Coincidence or Gay?

I thought the guy who killed himself was the Madrigal pointman for the drug operation. Then Lydia? apparently knew about the operation and assisted, but never had to interact with any criminals. That's why she did the stupid spy routine.......This was her first time to go into that section of the business. Or I could have completely missed something.
