Not sure in ABQ, but I live in San Diego and it is very, very common. I see tented houses pretty much every time I drive through a residential area. Completely believable, although I was thinking how I'd have no idea what those were 4 years ago.

I live in San Clemente and I see them all the time as well.

I lived in Dallas for 4 years and never saw one.

At this point it's hard to imagine the writers using a device like bug bomb tents if they weren't completely ordinary. One of my favorite things about the show is the lack of deus ex machina used to get out of situations.. it's always grounded in science, technology, logic etc.

After extensive research (google search) it appears the "tenting" mixed with fumigation is very common in dry climates. Specifically NM, CA, est. It is the most reliable pest control for drywood termites. The process can take up to a week depending on the chemicals used.

I agree, Mike is probably the most likable character on the show right now, save for maybe the current iteration of Jesse who is awesome and intriguing with every new good idea.

I feel like the first half of the 5th season is going to end with 6, 7, or 8-- or some combination of them. Whatever it is, it gets Walt to get out of dodge.

It's obvious Skyler is at a cross roads. She will either come to accept the role she finds herself in, or she'll eventually turn on Walt. She's obviously scared out of her mind, wants an out, and it's driving her nuts.

Hank is an interesting outlet for her to turn to, if she breaks down and decides to turn against him. Hank can be an obvious safe spot to protect her against people like Walt, and he'd be willing to help her out as family. He's too much of a "good cop" to allow Walt to continue on.

But, her hands are dirty in this too now if an investigation starts, between Ted, the carwash setup, etc, so maybe not. If she is able to clean up her loose ends on those fronts, or find a way to explain them away (Walt forced me to under threat, cuts a deal to testify against Walt, etc) then look out. Or, if Hank becomes suspicious, I don't think it would take much for him to get the truth out of her either.

It would also setup Walt as having an immediate need to silence them both.

I can see this scenario playing out. Skyler squeels and Walt takes care of it...thus bringing him deeper into the dark side.

Removing Skyler from the equation somehow would really improve the show and move things along nicely IMO

Skylar is easily my least favorite character. Sure, I understand she's under a lot of pressure and is scared of Walt, but the way she plays the blank stares and breakdowns gets really annoying to the point where I get 0 enjoyment out of watching any scene with her in it. I think it would be fine if she was a better actress, but I guess you're stuck with who you use in the pilot...
