I think the promotional poster is more of a symbolic image of Walt's situation as opposed to a photo of an actual scene from the show.
He has lots of meth and money...so much that money is just laying around on the ground & he doesn't even care. But otherwise, his big giant life is empty and decaying, just like that old factory. That abandoned factory that was once a productive member of society and full of life and energy that actually helped those involved with it has been reduced to a giant wasteland, an ugly old structure that's falling apart and is simply a shell of what it once was. Even its foundation has been reduced to a nothing but dirt and one big pile of rubble.
