Was so good, if they had more then 7 episodes left, I'd bet Heisenberg would ball Lydia real real good

Saw this on another forum explaining the neighbor's reaction in the flash forward and it makes a lot of sense.

quote:
The oranges falling out of the grocery bag and rolling along the driveway is a bit of a giveaway. In the Godfather, oranges signify death. Practically every character that ever touches an orange in those films ends up dead. Vito gets shot after buying oranges, and falls into a basket of oranges, later he had just eaten an orange when he finally dies, and there are about a dozen other examples. This has been referenced before in BB: when Ted Beneke trips over the rug and hurts himself ... a bunch of oranges fall onto the floor.

EDIT: Someone was speculating that Walt had faked his death and that's why she was shocked to see him.

there are alot of godfather parallels, so that makes sense

i think he is assumed to be dead, but the problem with the orange theory is that ted beneke is not dead.

Marie's klepto behavior isn't done with yet, I would guess. I just thought about this-how did Hank sneak the book out of Walt's house?

Anyone think that Lydia might be the one to kill Skylar?
sharkenleo

Why would Hank have to claim that? Walt knows Hank took it.

Not directly, but she will be at the root of it, probably. Skyler pissed her off, so yes. And we all know she's bat**** cray-z.

I can't stop going back to season 2, where they kept having flash forwards of the White House and all the police and body bags and everything... Like, trying to portray that Walt got caught and someone important died... Only for the last episode to come (essentially) out of nowhere.

I can't really see a way around Walt legitimately being caught and everyone knowing he is Heisenberg... and yet, I'm very suspicious that they might try to end it in that same way as season 2, where you are led to believe something that absolutely MUST be true for pretty much the entire season, only for it to have a completely weird, hardly developed, ending.

Hoping its not the case and it is more "predictable" (as-in, everyone dies and Walt is about to go out in a blaze of glory), but somehow I'm thinking that won't be the case.

Good catch on the Fring/towel/toilet connection.

Anyone notice he was also driving a Volvo ... like Fring?

He was also acting like Fring when Lydia came into the car wash and tried to speak to him. Did a lot of the same things Gus would do when Walt went to talk to him at Pollos hermanos

Also, Walt might be broke. He had no more money in his wallet after that $100 bill that he left as a tip (not that that really means all that much as he just bought a very expensive gun and would prob keep most of his money in a bag or whatever).

But, it does support the theory of him about to go out in a blaze of glory. No family, no money, nothing to live for.

Ratings for the premiere up 102% from last season. 5.9 million viewers, up from 2.93 last year. Amazing.

Just goes to show how freaking ridiculous the word of mouth is for this show. Has any show ever grown an audience so much, especially so far into the show?

wouldn't it be funny if Walt ended up saving his family, beating the DEA and cancer, and the series ended with Walt Jr. driving around in a sports car and them living in a mansion?

That would be about as good as having Walt waking up from a dream that started in Season 1, Episode 1, and it turns out it was all a dream - the cancer, the meth, even the good breakfasts.

He wakes up from his dream and sits down in front of a plate full of freezer burned Egos and some out-of-date milk.

When did Dean Norris become a rocking actor? He held his own against Cranston in that garage scene.

um, seriously? Hank has been killing it the ENTIRE series. but it was in "One Minute" dealing with his PTSD and then the parking lot scene in which he had his real coming out party. Dean Norris was perfectly cast for this role since the start.

Yeah, I think Dean Norris has been nails from the beginning. He's played that character perfectly.

Maybe it's nothing, but orange dropper neighbor wasn't the same neighbor from season 4. Walt races home to get cash to pay Saul's phone picker upper for Saul's number (and the busted door). He stops down the street, calls information for Rececca Lastname, and says "Hey Becky, still have the key?". Becky walked over to Walt's house slowly with a cane, then the two guys leave the house. Grocery dropper wasn't named Becky.
