]Has anyone pointed out the obvious that in the flash forwards Walt has long hair, but that he is currently on chemo, which means in the near future he is going to quit chemo at which point his hair starts growing?

If Walt is a wanted man or a supposedly dead man, he wouldn't have any way to receive chemo treatments. Did anyone else notice in the flash forward that the instructions to the gun were in the trunk? Maybe to indicate the gun had not been used.

Meaning Walt guns down the Czechs and or Jesse and then kills himself with the risen. That would leave no one to prove Walt's guilt and his family moves on with there lives.

One thing that's surprised me about Walt is that he's made it this far without any real muscle.

yep, which makes me think Walt may have bought the M60 with the intention of arming someone else to use.

that was covered in the opening to ep 1 of season 5 when he bought it (ff #1). he asked the guy in the denny's bathroom if it came with "instructions or a manual" and seller said he printed some off the internet. that implies Walt expects it to be used by someone who doesn't know how to use it. He clearly fits that category. however, it's also possible he's getting it to arm someone else, and he's taking the precaution (since he's ultra anal chemistry dude) that someone doesn't know how to use it.

anyone else notice the ammo boxes in his trunck indicated tracers? any jarheads or grunts here who can tell us the codes? looks like maybe a grenade launcher of some kind too

Gale isn't really dead. Jesse really did move his gun to the side to merely wing him instead of kill him.

I know WW asked about instructions but still think Gilligan was hinting at something by showing them in FF#2.

I don't remember where WW put the instructions in the first ff but they were on the bottom in ff2.

Maybe that actually infers that WW had them out while setting up the gun and then put them back in the truck first. He had shot it and killed and has returned home to off himself with the risen to make it look like he died of cancer and never had a thing to do with the blue meth.

If anyone's interested, the ammo can markings don't appear to indicate grenades like I thought they may. Instead, they describe the 7.62 loads contained therein, including tracers (I think the indication is 1 tracer for every 4 standard ball rounds). Makes sense with that setup, but I was expecting something with a grenade launcher, ala Tony Montana.

Also, here's a cool link of BB weapons

CR - I don't think any of that stuff had even moved between the two scenes. He took sellers car as part of the deal, and the gun and ammo (and instructions) looked to be in the same spots. I assumed he drove from Denny's to his old house.

Is there any other show that causes people to analyze every detail to the N'th degree like this one does? This is absurd.

Note: this is coming from someone who pored over google maps to find the railroad trestle

Gilligan has proven to be so good that none of these crazy theories will be anywhere near the mark. But I do love the guessing game.

Pretty hard to differentiate between a quality post on the show and a wild theory from someone who doesn't remember anything about the show until you've read it.

Some of it is a little ridiculous, but if someone had posted in the middle of season 2 that the flash-fowards were actually related to 2 airlines crashing into each other over ABQ and causing debris and bodies to fall on Walt's car and in Walt's pool, that would have been pretty crazy sounding too

Like I said earlier, I think there is a major twist leading to the end, but I don't think we have all of the info to make a solid guess yet. Just like in season 2 we did not know Jessee's gf's dad was a flight traffic director until very close to the end....and obviously we didn't know that Walt basically allowed her death to happen until the second to last episode.

I think I mentioned this last season... But if you have not listened to the Breaking Bad Insider Podcast after each episode, then I highly suggest you do. I'm currently listening to the first 2 from this season. They are really good.

Kelley Dixon, one of the editors, leads each podcast. Vince is on most of them. Plus the director of each episode, writers and actors.

They follow the latest episode scene by scene and discuss plot, the set, the music, the difficulties for that particular shoot, etc. They also do a great job to not spoil future episodes. Each one is about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Here is the link: I can't seem to get the link to work.

Search for Breaking Bad on the itunes podcast page. You can't miss it.

I'm sure this has been posted before but I can't seem to find it. What does everyone this of the wire shown in the flash forward seen when WW is putting his wallet back in his pocket?
The director clearly slows down and wants you to see this.

Just heard "Windy" by The Associaton and "Crystal Blue Persuasion" back to back. Is it the Breaking Bad music hour today?

Yes, it's been discussed.

No, we don't think he's wearing a wire.

I mean it's a possibility, but there's really no reason for a mike in the Denny's or with the gun seller. DEA is not worried about a small-time weapons dealer. That is an actual microphone. A production mistake.

The machine gun is a macguffin. It's out of walt's character. Probably going to give/trade it to someone who told him to acquire one for them.
