That's a lot of words to say you're a more dedicated Star Wars fan than most.
TPM may have all those things, but it still had Jar Jar Binks and midichlorians.
On the plus side, it has an amazing John Williams score.

No one married to Sarah Michelle Gellar should ever be unhappy.

Ok, Maul episodes 9 and especially 10 are fantastic. You just can't beat watching Vadar kick ass. And I know people say there's so much more to Star Wars than Jedis and Siths...but dammit, you just can't beat a well choreographed Jedi/Sith lightsaber fight.
Couple of questions...
1) did we know going into this that Maul gains an apprentice, or is this completely new to Maul's story?
And
2) are the books Master of Evil (about Vadar) and Maul Lockdown any good? I havd them on my reading list, but wondering if they're worth it.

masters of evil is really good and gives a ton of insight into the vader/palps dynamic. I've never Lockdown. Have you read Maul: Shadow Hunter? It's set right before TPM and I feel like some of Shadow Lord was inspired by it.

Lucasfilm literally just released a trailer today that featured scenes from The Last Jedi in it, and they’re releasing a sequel movie set 5 years after TROS next May, but YouTubers are still making up this complete bullshit. pic.twitter.com/2yVX0LRTP5

It's May 4; not April 1.
And how or why would they focus on the original characters going forward? There is nothing left to tell.
