Nowhere to go but up.
the problem is that Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales... all are variations of the same thing.
it is fun when they are all together interacting, but individually, it will get boring and repetitive way too quickly
wish Sony would just sell the rights back to Disney for $1-2BB, take the cash, complete their purchase of Paramount, and go to town with some Paramount IP.
or at a minimum, sell back the live-action rights and retain the animated movie ones.
We spend a big part of both films with Miles in school and at home. Everything Peter does is driven by mistakes he feels he's made. Wanda feels guilty for the death of her Peter but has a hard time trusting anyone to get close to them. Far from irrelevant.C@LAg said:strong disagree back.fig96 said:

Iron Man is compelling because of Tony Stark. Batman has become the identity while playing Bruce Wayne for the cameras. Steve Rogers was the ultimate patriot, Bruce Banner is one of the smartest people in the world, Matt Murdock is a blind attorney, etc.
Peter, Miles, and Wanda may all have similar abilities but they're very different characters for a variety of reasons. But they're also similar in the theme of "anyone can wear the mask" that's the heart of the Spider-Verse films.
And IMO Lord and Miller have killed it when it comes to respecting the original source material while giving us fresh, insanely entertaining takes on these characters. Excited to see what they do with this.
the backstories are such a small part of the movies, that it is pretty much irrelevant.
within the confines of the movies, they are just cookie-cutter copies of each other once the backstory has been dealt with.
and the villains are literal xeroxed variants of all the other existing versions of the same villains, per spider-person.

Honestly? I'd watch it. 1950s Vegas is unique/could be a lot of fun. And Swift is a decent enough actress, the question would be whether or not she could carry an entire eight episodes...

She was in some movie called Valentine's day, I think. Probably something else I'm forgetting. She could probably handle the acting side, especially if the character is not too serious.Cinco Ranch Aggie said:Commercials is all I have ever seenDecay said:

I believe the first movie she was credited to being in was "Valentines Day" which was basically a ripoff of "Love Actually"Bruce Almighty said:Decay said:

Bit parts. She has about as much acting experience as Lady Gaga had before she did A Star is Born.

Swift has been in...
2022 - Amsterdam
2019 - Cats
2014 - The Giver
2010 - Valentine's Day
... plus all the "acting" she's done in her music videos, most of which she now directs as well.

Incredible.
I admittedly haven't seen a single one, save for her clips in Amsterdam.
