The way they are describing it, this sounds just like Dolby with peak sound and color and other exclusive offerings. ENDGAME is getting re-released in INFINITY VISION.

I can't tell if this means old, now-reinserted footage they *cut* from End Game - or - if this means they shot *new* footage to insert into End Game. I'm assuming the latter, but super random either way...Joe Russo says the ‘AVENGERS: ENDGAME’ re-release includes new footage that ties into the narrative of ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’.

When you think about it all, it's not hard to view Marvel as somewhat gimmicky now and reeking of desperation.
Phases 4 and the start of 5 can rightfully be considered lackluster with declining returns. So what do they do?
Go to the well to bring back RDJ, arguably, the biggest draw of phases 1-3. Heck, go to the well some more and just bring back everyone, including the Fox movie's X-men. Screw it, go to the well one more time and splice some "new" footage into Endgame and rerelease it. Then desperately combat not having IMAX by trying to convince the public you've invented "INFINITY VISION"!!!...which is really just some sort of notification system telling viewers which theaters have high defiinition screens.

I'm going to be a Marvel shill for a sec and object to this line (though your overall point stands). I think most things post-Endgame have been good enough, with a few great and some subpar to bad. "Awful" I'd reserve for Secret Invasion and Echo, which may as well not exist (and don't, in my mind).
The main problem is that there's freakin' 54 movies or seasons of shows in the MCU, and if it isn't great, it becomes forgettable. And since it isn't pre-Endgame, it isn't put on a pedestal like the first three phases (as though there weren't plenty of serviceable-but-forgettable films there, like Ant-Man and the Wasp, Thor the Dark World, Iron Man 2 and 3, Captain America 1, Incredible Hulk, etc).
Guardians 3, Spider-Man Far From Home and No Way Home, Hawkeye, WandaVison, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, Loki S1, Deadpool & Wolverine, Werewolf by Night… I think you could put those up against the Infinity Saga and they'd be ranked pretty highly. The rest may pepper the mid-to-low tiers but I think they're still way better than Iron Man 2 and Incredible Hulk (except for a few clunkers).
Skeptical about Doomsday, to be clear, but I've still enjoyed most post-Endgame things, even with the flaws we've all discussed. There's still way more good than bad.

I didn't not enjoy Guardians 3 anywhere close to the first 2, which I stop and watch almost anytime they are on. Dont feel any need to rewatch #3.
Don't know why Captain America 1 doesn't get more love, always really liked that one.

Everything since Endgame minus a small handful of titles has been awful. Their big bad ruins his career and becomes a liability. Then they go out and get RDJ to be their new big bad. Then they bring back Chris Evans.
Anyone who though this wasn't desperation from the very first announcement is living in another world.

I'm curious how much draw Reynolds is going to have after all the Blake Lively dust settles.
