I'm trying to think of other possible castings for Doom
-Alexander Skarsgard
-Josh Hartnett
-Jeffrey Wright
-Aaron Paul
I haven't seen Atlanta. Could Donald Glover play a serious character well?
Glover and Wright have already appeared in Marvel in limited fashions - Glover was in the first new Spiderman movie for 3-4 scenes and Wright was the voice of the Watcher in What If
If you need an actor with gravitas who can also impose physically, the list seems to be growing short at this point because of the massive onslaught of super hero movies. if they hadn't thrown away Laurence Fishburne in the second Antman movie, he'd probably be an interesting choice. Ditto Bale and Crowe in Thor 4.
Maybe Liam Neeson? If Doom is going to be European, at least get someone who can do an accent. Although Neeson is 71, that might be rolling the dice a little much for a movie that doesn't come out for at least a few more years.
I guess it really depends on what age he is vs what age the FF4 are.
Actually, I've got my choice. DC poached James Gunn from Marvel amid some chaos. Return the favor and go get Henry Cavill to be Doom.
