As if we didn't need more confirmation about the X-men joining the MCU….don't know why I spoiler tagged this….

On Disney + they have added the MA rating as a security option for the different profiles to watch…..had to go in and change the kids profiles…..

Apparently at the very least…..Logan and Deadpool are being added….

Echo will supposedly need it too.

I wouldn't put much stock in that tweet. It's probably just Kingpin will be in all 3 things. Maybe "setting up" how he goes from criminal businessman to mayor of NYC or something but that doesn't make it a must-watch.

The game doesn't really follow the Spiderverse movies. It has Miles and other characters, but the story is more along the lines of what the comics have done with them in the past.

The latest movie is directly referenced in a side quest in the latest game.

Which quest? Miles' family situation in the game is very different from that of the movies. (I'm trying to not reference spoilers specifically.)

The game is not the same universe as the movies man. Of course they are different but the last spider verse movie touches literally every other spiderman property and the game is no different. It's the quest after you collect all the spiderbots.

Just FYI, Logan, Deadpool, and Deadpool 2 have been on Disney+ since July 2022. They premiered a few months after all the Netflix Marvel series, which debuted on the streamer in March 2022, and were the first titles to garner the MA rating.

Disney is also currently in the process of merging Hulu with Disney+, which will add hundreds more MA/R-rated movies and shows (many of them acquired from 20th Century Fox in the 2018 merger), which will all soon live under the "Hulu" tab on Disney+ (in the same row as "Star Wars," "Marvel," etc). A beta of the new app is set to launch next month, with the official release coming in March.

In other words, get used to Disney+ no longer being just a "kids" app, as it will soon house ALL Disney, 20th Century Fox, and original Hulu content, likely with an "ESPN" tab not too far behind.

Hulu already has ESPN+ content, which I found odd at first (that's how my wife watched the game today).

Yup heard about this as a rumor on a few YouTube channels….they didn't know the actress but were discussing the rumors about a female silver surfer….

I never read the comics on any of these but sounds like this is going to be another miss…..from what I've heard the big thing about silver surfer is he serves galactus to save his wife/woman he loves……so now people are wondering are they changing silver surfers whole story just cause they want to make him a female…or they going to make her gay….whos knows I'm sure there's a lot of folks on here that know more than me…..

Also was heading that if they wanted to do a female villain from the F4 books they should just do Nova who is apparently a pretty cool and well known female villain from F4…..

Exactly. It's unnecessary, but pretty unimportant. If they're doing the Galactus story, maybe Sue Storm was going to be the only woman in the cast. Normally there's Alicia Masters but perhaps it's too early for her. Either way, it's kind of a sausage fest until Valeria comes along.

And yes they could go Nova (female herald, Johnny's former flame) but then you're going with a worse origin for a herald than the classic Silver Surfer storyline. Surfer needs to be the first. Nova would be a lot to explain for a movie that is also, presumably, the origin for the 4 main characters.

I'd rather they just leave it alone and give this movie a chance to be seen as 'classic' and true to roots as it can be. But ultimately it's a very small change - akin to Reed being Hispanic, which thankfully I have not seen complaints about.

Not sure I would consider the Silver Surfer a villain per se. Would almost consider him more Lawful Neutral.
